There have not been any official estimates released yet for the number of attendees to the Taxpayer March on Washington yesterday, September 12, 2009, but there are many suggested estimates ranging from the tens of thousands up into the millions.
What is extremely disappointing is the fact that the main stream media has continued to turn their backs on reality by not reporting on the event. Americans from every walk of life showed up to express their overwhelming disapproval of how government officials are misrepresenting them, not just on the health care issue, but all around.
Thankfully we have citizens willing to record and share their own first-hand experiences at the event. If you would like to see some of them check out this and this.

I went to the D.C.ralley and it's schocking to me that there are virtualy no reports ,even on Fox which is weird because I was 5 feet away from Molly Heninberg and Griff whatever his name is for the entire ralley, on the t.v. or in the newspapers. It was the biggest gathering of prople in D.C. in history. The police there even said that it was twice as crowed as Obummer's inaugfest. We wern't allowed to stand on the mall as they were, only the sidewalks and streets, the Washington police estimate was 1.75 to 2 million in attendance. It show's how desperate the left is to deny what really happens in the world.
I was there and I plan on leting everyone I know how inspiring and awesome it was, no matter how underreported by the press.
Such a non-event. Numbers were no where near what was expected..it's now being reported as "tens of thousands", not anywhere close to a million.
"Americans from every walk of life showed up"
- now that really stretching it, unless you count "every walk of life" as nothing but angry white people.
Wes, if it was such a non-event, why did you take the time to comment on it?
Wes, you are so wrong.I WAS THERE. I believe the number of machers was about 1.5 million. Marchers stretched from the Washington Monument to the Capitol on 5 streets. streame towards the capitol on Pennsylvania, Madison Dr., There were many black folks attending/supporting the cause. Your Angry White Mob doesn't work. This was a true exercise of our "Freedom to Assemble"
It will take that outcry and more to stop this administration who control the media and more. Watch out for this bunch of thieves who make the robber barons look like choir boys masking it in a liberal marxist social agenda. My heart is with the marchers on washington, lets march on them everyday and VOTE THEM OUT in 2010!
now you know how i and other protesters felt for 8 years during the bush admin.
i can't even count the number of protests, some absolutely huge, that when completely unreported by mainstream media.
it sucks to be ignored.
