One of the all-time greats in the history of smash mouth football passed away today at the age of 61.
Better know as "The Assassin," Tatum suffered from diabetes, and had lost his left leg because of circulation problems.
Tatum was arguably, pound-for-pound, the hardest hitter in the history of the National Football League.
He will be missed. May God rest his soul. (+)

Sorry he's dead but the dude was a TOTAL punk on the football field. Hard hitting, sure. But pound for pound Jack Lambert smokes him. And he (Tatum) was utterly dirty when it came to playing the game. Ask Darryl Stingley whom he paralyzed for life with a cheap shot - in a preseason game no less. Whoops can't do that, he's dead too.
NOT worthy of the Hall of Fame nor any glory. Another Raiders' P.O.S....
