"Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator..."
Happy Earth Day, a Pagan holiday like every other day, where liberals worship the creation above the Creator. Here are some of the best pieces I've seen today:
Human Events - 7 Conservative Ways to Celebrate Earth Day
The real purpose of the modern Greenie Movement is to provide a seemingly reasonable and unified excuse to persecute all the things that liberals already hate: capitalism, private property, rednecks, industry, energy, America, Texas, hunting, fishing, guns, SUVs, Genesis 1:26, suburbs, exurbs, farms, ranches, fur, meat, fossil fuels, nuclear fuels, all other fuels, white people, rich people, other people, and themselves.
This is a must-read piece. My favorite way to celebrate from the article is #2: "Build a windmill in Ted Kennedy's Yard."
American Thinker - Saving our Planet, One Guilt Trip at a Time
I considered doing penance by joining one of those urban foraging outings, where otherwise sane people look for edible castoffs in dumpsters, just like the homeless people do, to prove how much waste there is in our society. However, I held back, probably because I had gotten a whopping headache from the overpowering smell of vinegar I used to clean the house. No more Formula 409 for us!
Charlotte Law & Politics Examiner - Liberal pagans sacrifice children to global warming idol
At least the fear of eternal damnation scared many of us straight, whereas the fear of SUVs, Edison’s bulb (see pictured, invented by faux Earth warmer), coal, and nuclear power scares us into Smart death-trap Cars, mercury spills, wood burning stove smog and black death from rats feasting on horse street dung.
Great piece there - check it out.
More from American Thinker - Green Up, Man! It's Freaking Earth Day!
Is this the Greenies' moment? I doubt it. Green Consciousness is truly a step-child of the counter-culture movement arisen from the ashes of hippiedom in a cloud of now nearly legal smoke. While post-modern dweebs and nerds have joined the counter-culture warriors in their quest to resume "the task of Noah, trying to save all species of life," they have lost a great deal of the power of ritual theatre that informed the earliest demonstrations in support of biodiversity, ecology and a return to noble savagery...
"The First Annual All Species Gathering and Celebration was held on the autumnal equinox in 1978 (Earth Day is celebrated on the vernal equinox) at the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza. The Bay Area pagan environmentalists attended this event dressed as their totem plants and animals, in their finest furs, feathers, scales, bark and shells, accessorized with horns, tusks, plumes, manes, tails, fins and leaves. Even dragons and unicorns showed up to warn that mythological beings are endangered by human disregard and forgetfulness."
Be afraid. Be very, very afraid:
Investors Business Daily - Save Capitalism
Buried beneath all the badgering and fear-mongering about lavish Western lifestyles is a reality that the stuck-on-green left won't talk about and the average American isn't aware of: The world, especially in developed nations, is a cleaner — and greener — place than it was when the environmental movement began.
Jammie Wearing Fool - President of Earth Celebrates Earth Day, Calls On Ted Kennedy to Stop Obstructing Nantucket Sound Wind Farms
"As I've said before, the days of political cronyism are over and today I call on Senators Kennedy and Kerry to stop blocking progress and enter the 21st century. They are costing Massachusetts taxpayers millions with their own selfish interests and this has to stop."
Scrivener - Save the Earth. Grow the Economy. Faster! Faster!
"The more advanced an economy grows, and the richer its population becomes, the less in physical resources it consumes."
Tell your environmentalist friends: to Save the Earth, grow its economies! Especially its most backward ones (but ours too). As fast as you can!
Not that they really want to. But at least you'll confirm their real goal.
Townhall - Earth Day Co-founder Loved Planet, Murdered Girlfriend
Pajamas Media - Obama's EPA Declares CO2 a Poison
Did you know you can die from drinking too much distilled water? Or from breathing too much pure oxygen? Oxidation products actually kill people — they cause a huge variety of fatal diseases. The only solution is to stop breathing.
I Hate the Media - Earth Day predictions of 1970. The reason you shouldn’t believe Earth Day predictions of 2009.
• Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist
That's my favorite from the piece. Ehrlich was always a moonbat, and the media breathlessly ran every idiotic statement he ever made.
Barack Obama's Teleprompter's Blog - Our Earth Day Agenda
GOP Exiles - Kids Afraid the Planet Will Die

Will update as I find more. Enjoy!
