Russia is about to sell Iran a brigade of the S-300 air defense missiles to protect its nuke facilities against attack. This isn't a new topic. Russia agreed before to not sell them to Iran, but now it seems Putin is playing poker with the young American president.
The message: You back off on missile shields in Eastern Europe, and I'll back off on protecting a fanatic's nuclear weapons development program.
The problem is that Obama is out of his league. His "let's talk this through" approach is naive. It projects weakness. We are dealing with two cultures - Russian and Arabian Persians (see comment below - my point stands, however) - that work from positions of strength, real and perceived. They respond only to that - not to reason.
Add to the mix the SOS Clinton statement of NK not being "helpful" in the latters comments, and it makes me think the grammar school teacher is talking to a couple of misbehaving kids.
These misbehaving kids, folks, have billions of dollars, followers willing to blow themselves up, and nuclear weapons. This is not grammar school. Hamas, Syria, Iran, and NK can't be made to stand in the corner until they learned their lessons.
So how dangerous as the S-300s? It's American counterpart is the Patriot missile system.
How do we know this is just politcal theater for the Russians? They've already been supplying them to the Iranians. This latest move is just targeted to the nuclear facilities.

This is incorrect. The Iranians are Persian, not Arabic - entirely different culture & ethnicity.

Wouldn't suprise me to see a major conflict between, Syria, Iran, Libya, Turkey, and Russia vs. Israel by the end of summer. Before the last 6 weeks I would not have included Turkey but their relationship with Israel went sour fast and I don't see it improving any time soon.

S-300 can't be compared to the American Patriot, sorry see the specs, even the superseded version Iran might be getting (already have?). They already possess a few dozen of the S-300's little brother the TOR-M1 and together these would be enough to wet the pants of any Israeli or American fighter pilot.
