I'm sure the residents of Oklahoma, and long time political observers, are not surprised by this ranking given by the organization Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). They cite a few examples for the state's low ranking:
* Carroll Fisher, a former Oklahoma insurance commissioner, was sentenced to three years in prison for taking bribes from a Texas businessman.
But, take heed, there is somewhat of a silver lining. Oklahoma is ranked 27th in "officials convicted in federal corruption cases over the last 10 years" and 25th in "number of guilty officials per capita." Hey, it's progress!

This is a trend I, for one, want to see continue. We've got to shake the negative stigma our state has in regards to corrupt government. Throw the bums out!!
Great information. I'm going to let others know!
why don't you just give the bums some shelter instead of throwing them out.... they're people too.
Do you think that they will convict their fellow partners in crime if the corrupt ones control the politicians, judges, police officers, evidence lockers, mail rooms, financial records, medical records, and criminal records? This is why police records are only filed and not followed through or investigated unless the city attorneys could potentially be sued for negligence upon their part. Millions of complaints go unheard as these city officials simply ignore the citizens’ official complaints, at least until the stalkers and burglars are shot dead for committing crimes that could have been stopped had the complaints been properly handled in the first place.
