Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil

Seriously, it just makes you wonder why the Oklahoma media market continues to play to the stereotype as the worst in the nation.

Last week, we were the first in Oklahoma to tell about this story about hi-jinks in the Magna bankruptcy, and Oklahoma press outlets, and even blogs, remained quiet as a church mouse. Today this bombshell is rocking the racing industry and not one single mention by any media outlet. We kid you not.

Boo! Okay, Oklahoma press, didn’t mean to scare you, but the discussion about fraud is focused on Magna, NOT Remington Park, so you CAN investigate without worrying about your ad revenues from the Chickasaw tribe.

Meanwhile, whispers remain that something smelly happened in the bidding process with the sale of Magna properties in Oklahoma and Texas, but we’re betting not one phone call has been made to the creditor group who is suing Magna alleging fraud in the bankruptcy proceedings.

So for any journalist or reporter with enough drive to make a call, we’ll help you out. A ruling on whether or not the Chickasaw Tribe is affirmed as the “stalking horse” bidder comes down Wednesday. That’s kind of a big story in most places. So for you aspiring journalists, you could simply call the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware at 302-252-2900. The Judge’s name is Mary Walrath. They can give you all kinds of information to do what reporters in the other 49 states call a “story.” With a Magna property in Oklahoma City, you could do what the other 49 states do and “localize” the story!

And one other thing, Scoop, they’ve got this new tool called “Google,” and you can utilize it to search the tips we’ve given you here on OKPNS to let the people in Oklahoma know what’s going on with the Magna property there. Or you can just go back to that Ed Kelley marathon or the Pet Show Blog.
