The plot is thickening with DA Leon Cannizzaro's

office.We recently found out that his daughter Laura Cannizzaro who is

trying to pass law Senate Bill 280 by Senate President Joel Chaisson II,

D-Destrehan, stems from a section of the ethics code that prevented Laura

Cannizzaro, a 27-year-old lawyer, from keeping her job in the district attorney's

office after her father was sworn in last year.to get rid of the nepotism law so

she can legally work for her

father,turns out Laura was at the bar the same night as DA Leon

Cannizarro's investigator Lapene.Lapene resigned under pressure today as

I'm sure DA Canizzaro will have enough problems trying to repair his tarnished 

image after all is said

and done.Last week Cannizzaro defended his hiring of Lapene because he

was a good investigator but New Orleans police spokesman say he has seen
