The leftist pro-abortion group Planned Parenthood has released a new report calling for children as young as ten years old to be given access to contraceptives and taught to be "sexual beings." The report is generating almost as much outrage as the latest U.N. report calling for 5-year-olds to be taught how to masturbate.
The report, titled, "Stand and Deliver," argues that grade school children "have the right to be informed about sexuality and to have access to contraceptives and other services." But, as with virtually everything liberals want and stand for, the overwhelming majority of Americans consistently reject this, preferring instead that we respect parental choice.
Ed Mechmann, spokesman for New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan, has blasted Planned Parenthood as "trying to teach children sex without values and that sex is a matter of pleasure and done without consequences...It is part of an effort to get children to reject traditional values and accept a liberal American-European view."
Mechmann also rejects the very legitimacy of the report, citing a huge financial conflict of interest: "The difference between Planned Parenthood and us is that we don't make money off what we teach and say. They do. They make money off contraceptives and abortions."

Though Mr. Moon provides a link to the report, he dishonestly distorts its message to accommodate his knee-jerk reaction to youth sex education. Even from a cursory glance of the report, one will glean that the goal of IPPF is to educate the youth of developing nations about sex in order to combat the spread of HIV and unwanted, unnecessary abortions. That Mr. Moon would portray such a noble mission as an insidious one is another testament to his ceaseless efforts to corrupt the truth.
What Mr. Moon and the rest of his myopic ilk fail to grasp is that although liberals advocate legal access to abortions, the ultimate goal is to educate young people about the consequences of sex and promote the use of contraception to effectively reduce the need for abortions. With studies showing that today's youth hit puberty as early as 9 and 10 years of age, is it really that outrageous that someone inform them about the major life changes to which they must adapt?
"But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea."

Ryan H., you can give your kids all the condoms and birth control you want. Your 16 year old daughter can even kill her unborn.
You and those like the pro murder PP should leave others kids alone. Fair enough?
Is this the results wanted . Look at the data and see what the effects of an oversexed society brings.
Look at the dailymail article titled school girls aged just falling pregnant underage pregnancies continue rise article out today from the UK. article 1249411 . Shocking numbers of under 15 yr olds pregnant in spite of the millions spent " educating" them on safe sex. It instead increases sex in general and see the results.
Libs say we have to be more like Britain. NO THANK YOU!
Ryan H,
Not blindly repeating the left's spin is "distorting" things?
Just because liberals insist on misrepresenting condoms for small children as a perfectly sensible alternative to having any kind of values, personal responsibility or parenting doesn't mean it's "dishonest" for thinking adults to notice how perverse and immoral they are.
I skimmed through that 44 page report. I found nothing advocating giving condoms to 10 year olds. The only thing I saw mentioned about 10 year olds was the fact that in some parts of the world, a 10 year old is considered an adolescent.
The report advocates education as a means to prevent the spread of AIDS and precent unwanted pregnancies - thus reducing the number of abortions performed.
If I missed something, please tell me what page to look on.
Thanks.
When will we have lawmakers willing to stop the flow of millions to PP. Not until enough caring individuals let their voices be heard. The time is coming soon. Be ready to speak out ,at the ballot boxes! Change we can believe in.
It says in the forward of the report that "Young people have the right to be informed about sexuality and to have access to contraceptives and other services." The report then goes on to explain that this new program being suggested should apply even to kids as young as 10. I think that was the point being made.
Ryan H, I have a 9 & 10 year old... I can promise you they are NOT in puberty. What fabricated poll did you get that information from?
Thanks, Crystal.
Moon's point is totally faulty and taken totally out of context. Planned parenthood is not "demanding" that ten year olds be given condoms at all. The fact that one has to search for the reason for that claim is a hint to its falsehood. So is the fact that he didn't cite where he found it in that report.
The report emphasizes that in some parts of the world, more education would prevent unwanted pregnancies (hence fewer abortions) and reduce the spread of AIDS.
Most of the report refers to third world and developing countries, where people are often married young and have children while still in their teens.
Moon writes and uses photographs that suggest planned parenthood wants 5th graders in the United States to have access to condoms. This is an untruth and Moon is dishonest.
It's very unfortunate that there are people who will believe him.
Bottom line? It is NO ONES right, responsibility or obligation BUT THE PARENTS to teach their kids about sex and its surrounding issues. NO ONES!
I don't believe PP want kids to use condoms. That would put their baby killing machine out of business!
