Obama: Objecting to my policies is dangerous

AP Photo/Paul Sancya

Speaking at a University of Michigan graduation ceremony Saturday, Obama warned that correctly identifying his radical, economy-killing assaults on the Constitution as Marxist scams and illegal government takeovers might incite "extreme elements" to violence.

Clearly intended as a shot at the Tea Party movement, the speech reinforced the media-driven theme that it is dangerous to allow conservatives to express opinions.

In trying to defend his far left policies, the "post-partisan" candidate for "change" also managed to repeat--for approximately the billionth time--the debunked partisan falsehood that it was not enough government that destroyed the economy.

Needless to say, giving condescending lectures while peddling tired, outrageous partisan misinformation isn't exactly winning any conservatives over.

If he keeps repeating crap long enough, do he think we will believe it?? We are not stupid, President Obama! It is far worse to let you continue to demolish our wonderful country!

I feel the tied turning. I think that one of the reasons that Mr Obama has become so aggressive with his agenda, is that he now fears that there will be elections again, and they will not further enable his operations a against this country. I also don't think that he is planning to run again. Too many people are asking tough questions. He will not be on the ballot of all 50/51 states.

Did he actually say,"that correctly identifying his radical, economy-killing assaults on the Constitution as Marxist scams and illegal government takeovers might incite "extreme elements" to violence"? The "CORRECTLY IDENTIFYING" is bothering me. Because if that is exactly what he said, it sounds to me, he is admitting to what he is.

And Robert Moon , you like to spread it even further... I was at that ceremony...you've take what he said COMPLETELY out of text to serve your own political agenda to twist it into garbage just like you always do.

    thedawg,

Then so did the Associated Press: "President Barack Obama said Saturday that partisan rants and name-calling under the guise of legitimate discourse pose a serious danger to America's democracy, and may incite 'extreme elements' to violence."

Please explain what specifically was taken out of context or stop lying here.

The thing most likely to incite violence is jerks like the one in Oregon (whose name escapes me) planting progressives at a tea party function where they send out the NINJAs (SWAT,) and one of them (a progressive) starting something. That would give the Anointed One a "reason" to call for martial law.

The guy is a pathological liar. THERE I SAID IT. And what the heck is he wearing on his robe, a ram's head? He is so arrogant as to want to rule the Congress and the SCOTUS. And he is a left wing, liberal, Marxist, sociopath. I think he truly believes he is God. He makes me want to be ill. And why are Mexican-Americans protesting when they are legal? The whole world has turned upside down. I could not watch the news tonite. Trillions of protestors at immigration reform (code words for amnesty, with no taxes) but only maybe 300 in Washington 9/12 Rally. The Lame Stream Media is no friend of ours and themselves are trying to prevent free speech. Just because Arizona is enforcing existing Federal law except for the funny part about it is illegal to be an illegal alien, every main stream media outlet is screaming NAZI which is to incite violence when the Tea Party sings God Bless America and are considered dangerous terrorists.I don't recall any police getting hit on the head at a TParty.

well, moon, thedawg was giving you credit for being intelligent enough to understand that "President Barack Obama said Saturday that partisan rants and name-calling under the guise of legitimate discourse pose a serious danger to America's democracy, and may incite 'extreme elements' to violence" is significantly different in meaning and context than "Obama warned that correctly identifying his radical, economy-killing assaults on the Constitution as Marxist scams and illegal government takeovers might incite "extreme elements" to violence."

but if you say you are not deliberately distorting what obama said for propaganda purposes, then we have no alternative but to assume you are too stupid to see what you are doing.

so the question is, moon: are you a liar or an idiot?

This is the equivalent of the 9/11 hijackers saying: Do not do anything stupid and everything will be alright - we are heading back to the airport.
We all know how that turned out when everybody listened to them.

BO knows his audience well - poorly educated, but full of zeal and self-esteem. They don't care about the Constitution. Hell, they can't tell you what the Bill of Rights is.

They think Marxists are their high-school and college teachers. Why would that upset them? Dunces in charge.

Economy killing? Then why is it doing better than before? Oh, b/c you are divorced from reality.

Also, you liar, he never said objecting to his policies is dangerous.

He said there are ways to disagree without calling him a socialist or a Marxist, you hate filled loon.

Mr.Moon, you have twisted Obama's words to fit your view and taken them so far out of context in ways I can't describe. I was a graduate at that ceremony, and personally I wish he would have made a somewhat less political speech and direct a little more attention to the graduates, but to title your post "objecting to my policies is dangerous" is misleading and downright wrong.
He encouraged seeking out opposing viewpoints. He cautioned listening to extreme views on both sides that may "catch headlines", but prevent any legitimate debating in politics. In no way did Obama imply opposing him is wrong, rather he meant that comments like calling him a "socialist" or "communist" are in no way helpful to productive political discussion
