48 hours had not even passed after Congress approved ObamaCare before the negative impact of its provisions began kicking in.

Remember, the so-called 'benefits' of the program will not begin until 2014. But the fees, taxes, and other surcharges that are essential to the plan go into effect immediately.
This has led to some disturbing consequences just within the last 24 hours.
Karl Denninger via WRSA reported this:
From the forum:
"So I just got a call from my health insurance provider. My family rates are going up $200/month ... $2400/year per employee effective April 1st. Didn't take long after signing to get this s**t going.
So much for the "my plan will save Americans" $2500/year in Healthcare premiums.
F***ing liar in chief. "
This is not the only troubling development as a consequence of ObamaCare. A local radio station in the Upstate of South Carolina, which has a call-in show each afternoon, was inundated with calls Tuesday afternoon concerning hospitals turning away Medicare patients this week.
One elderly woman was sent home from the emergency room after the bare minimum of treatment with a fever of 103 degrees. When she was forced to return to the emergency room within 24 hours, due to the fact that she was not adequately treated the first time, the doctor informed her they could not give her care because it was 'too soon after her initial treatment.'
Some careful research on this issue uncovered a little-known, unreported matter involving government control of healthcare. According to none other than the Senate's late champion of socialized medicine, Ted Kennedy, much of the excess cost of Medicare comes from readmissions within 30 days of initial treatment. Thus, proponents of government control of healthcare costs advocate limiting readmissions.
And what, precisely, was the 'fix' for that cost run-up? Ban Medicare recipients from receiving follow-up care within 30 days of their initial treatment as part of government-run healthcare.
In anticipation of these homicidal measures being implemented once ObamaCare kicks in full-steam, apparently the government is getting in some early target practice on denying care for the elderly.
WRSA raises another critical issue:
I suggest that each reader who is employed and currently has health insurance check with your human resources department about the immediate/near-term impact of Obamacare on your benefits package.
At BigDumbCo, we were told in December by one of the big dogs that passage of either the House or the Senate bill would gravely imperil the company's willingness to offer health insurance, due to the financial impact.
If that is true (and please check with your own management team), Team Freedom has a helluva recruiting opportunity coming up with the folks who didn't think Obamacare really mattered to them.
So not only is care already being rationed for the elderly and insurance premiums skyrocketing in just 48 hours, but the grand plan of Obama and the Democrats will result in companies dropping healthcare coverage for their employees altogether.
No wonder that even as Obama signed the bill into law, the polls were showing a dismal rating of his job performance and the continued dwindling support of ObamaCare among the electorate.
And just wait until the 130 new federal agencies are created to manage ObamaCare (as mandated in the bill) and the IRS hires the estimated 16,000 to 18,000 new employees it will need to force compliance among the populace.

so many politicians and so few bulets
This was to be expected. My take on the Health care bill is that it's more about increasing revenue so that America can keep borrowing from foreign interests. As things stand now, America's credit is tapped out.
And to jesse james: Bullets are not the answer. They would have to be made out of silver in any event.
I look forward to your articles everyday. They are always timely and full of information that clarifies what is happening to our country.
My doctor friends have been warning of the drastic cuts to Medicare. Whether you use it yourself or have relatives that do, you have to be concerned about the rationing of care that is going to take place. Coverage has been expanded but care will not be available.
Fortunately, many states are fighting that constitutionality of the bill.
Thank you, again.
Thanks Anthony for the link. I do hope folks go and talk with their HR departments asap.
Hope to see you on the Potomac on April 19th:

nice story telling - do you have any other fables that you made up? Your made up doom and gloom is even worse than the stories Rush and O'Reilly make up - how about some real reporting with actual live people to interview - not just the ghosts in your own head
There's no link at all between any of the stories that you presented and the signing of this bill. Absolutely none. To present otherwise like you have done here is near fraudulent. "Some careful research"? Ha!
As I've said before, there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a different opinions about the strengths/weaknesses of this or any other bill. But to just make correlations where none exist is just ridiculous. You really should know better than this, Anthony.
Hey What a Hoot: Do you mean real reporting like Huffington Post, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and the like? Or maybe all the Liberal newsrags that are going bankrupt at lightening speed?
WaHahahahahhahahhahhahahha!
For those that don't believe this;(Tom and What a hoot) it has been going on for a while as far as Medicare and Medicaid are concerned. The solution used to be to call an ambulance. Then, it became an "emergency" and could be filed under a different billing procedure. Costing all of us an average of three times more than if the patient were simply readmitted. That option appears to be no longer available...
But hey? Social Security burial benefits are cheaper!

I am referring reporting to sources like the Onion or Mother Goose - I doubt the incidents mentioned ever occurred as this guy is reporting and if they did, they have absolutely no connection to a law that was signed only this week. There is more to the stories and by neglecting to research the facts, this is nothing more than a bed time story meant to scare kids into dictated, right-wing behvior
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. --
I had to go look this up to get the quote correct. Honest, it was the first thought that jumped out when I saw that (ceremonial) photo you posted. If this does not contribute to your article thread, I apologize.
To the liberal/idiotic commenters: Since we do not have our heads up our asses as to what this regime is up to, how's about you all provide facts to refute what Anthony blogged on. This ought to be entertaining. Talk about ghosts in your head!! Y'all have too much space between the ears to even come up with one fact to back your illusory assertions.
Cheryl - you cannot prove a negative- the assertion that the moment the bill got signed has anything to do with the isolated incidents must be backed by facts, not simple conjecture.
I am not a reporter, only a reader. I deserve better than this.

he should have told his republicans to vote for the public option, then his insurance company wouldn't be able to use him as target practice.
Tom, Hoot, and others:
Anyone in the insurance industry or who handle Medicare claims for hospitals and doctors can tell you there is a direct correlation--a cause and effect. The healthcare industry has been anticipating for quite some time that this thing would pass, given the Marxist control of our government right now. They have been preparing accordingly.
And if you don't believe that, then you ARE as dumb and uninformed as you sound.
I know we have free speech but if you really want to help restore this country Don't use threats they will recieve sympathy to show their followers. Do not give them ammunition..Just say November..I don't want any of them harmed..Just put in prison to recieve the care package they gave us..All your posts and twees are being monitored and watch for cell phones & cameras too.. Don't give your enemy any fuel;
Let us not forget this: When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

Heidi--you are 100% right!
Well then, Anthony, all it should take would be a statement from AHIP or a major insurance agency saying they're increasing rates immediately because of the impact of this new law. Find that, and we'll grant that your absurd assertion may have some validity. As it is, all you've got is a quote that makes no correlation between the new law and the premiums, a story about a Medicare patient that had no relevance to the new law, and a quote from an anonymous source at "BigDumbCo". Not exactly "careful research" there is it?
Tom, you have got to be about as dumb as an old mule staring at a new gate. The research produced the info on LIMITED READMISSIONS AS A COST SAVING MEASURE, AND AS PROPOSED BY TED KENNEDY AND OTHERS OF YOUR ILK.
Once again, shut up. Your next heckling comment will be deleted.
Anthony - You have totally misinterpreted those articles. Neither states that hospital readmissions will be denied. The idea with addressing readmissions is that we should pay for care based on quality not quantity. When we pay per incident, hospitals that have high rates of readmissions place greater costs on the system. So we should reward hospitals that exhibit greater quality (i.e., lower readmission rates) with higher reimbursement rates. To state that the law bans readmissions is just willful ignorance.
Tom, once again you employ your common 'deflect and divert' method of drawing attention away from the central issue. Hospitals will be forced to ration based upon these rules, and you know it. In practice this system is set up for the assumption that the new way of doing things will kill off a significant portion of the population--the elderly. Naturally they aren't going to say that outright. Marxists never state upfront and honestly what they intend to do. But we see it everywhere it's been implemented. The elderly and terminally ill account for 80% of medical expenditures in this country. Thus, the ONLY way to reduce that cost, which is the goal of ObamaCare, is to limit the care these people receive. And if you claim you are oblivious to this, you are a barefaced liar. Conversation OVER! Get lost, Tom.
It looks like a Obummer has a lot of his paid ACORN and union members posting on a lot of sites. Funny thing is they never have any facts to back anything they say up. Just that Obummer GOOD. Rebulicans bad. I really like the ones that come up with the same old story of how G.W. Bush spent on the Iraq war. I guess they don't know that Obum lied and did not bring the troops home. He just moved them to another country and is still spending on war. Poor blind fools.
Sometimes, I am utterly amazed at the lack of intellectual ability exhibited by some people. Tom is unworthy of your time, Anthony.
You guys really keep me in stitches. I love all the crazy stuff you convince yourselves of. Thanks for the laughs!
Mules have more brains & common sense than libtards....
Doctors and hospitals have been turning away patients for a long time prior to this bill being voted on. Many doctors have switched their practices to a boutique service, where for a fee of anywhere between $1,500 to $5,000 per year, you can get 11 visits a year, a flu shot, permission to email and receive answers from your doctor. This is not the Obama Administration's fault, nor is it the fault of the House or Senate. -- Judi Hanford
@Anthony G. Martin: "The elderly and terminally ill account for 80% of medical expenditures in this country. "
It's like that in every developed country. The great majority of lifetime healthcare costs for a typical individual are incurred in their last year of life. Stating that they will be killed off by socialized healthcare is ignoring the obvious fact that these people are dying.
Don't forget: the USA population spends the biggest percentage of their income on health care in the developed world, and they have nothing to show for it in terms of life expectancy.
Insurance providers jacking up prices $200/month should make you rant against those companies, not against a law that has yet to take effect.
Perhaps it would be a good idea for some European healthcare providers to set up shop in the States. They seem reasonably competent. In the Netherlands, health insurance costs 1200 euro/year + 3% of income, up to a max of 4000 (give or take, I don't have exact figures on
Oh my goodness...sounds like a bunch of bs to me.
Am I really supposed to believe this crap? Health caare is not nor will it ever be rationed to anyone. What is with you people? What do right wingers lie sooo much!
