In a poll released yesterday and reported Thursday evening on the Fox News' Bill O'Reilly program, 59% of Americans now disapprove of Obama's handling of the Gulf oil spill.
The results of the poll were reported in a segment with radio commentator Laura Ingraham. Video Here.

As Obama and the Administration come under increasing fire for their lackadaisical approach to the mounting problems created by the spill, which is moving closer to large stretches of beaches along the Gulf shoreline, the mainstream media has generally failed to report the widespread public dissatisfaction with Obama.
Instead, the media has chosen to focus almost solely on BP. While BP bears much of the blame for the failure to cap the flow of oil into the Gulf, the company is clearly NOT to blame for the failure of the Obama Administration to prevent a major economic and ecological disaster along the Gulf coast--and which is predicted to spread to the eastern Atlantic shoreline as well.
Environmental extremists prevented the use of the oil burn method, the tactic of choice by professionals who know that the quickest way to prevent a spill from reaching a shoreline is to burn up the oil by setting it ablaze--a controlled burn.
The Obama Administration, which is in the hip-pocket of the extremist environmentalist movement, naturally agreed to ban such a method, which meant that BP was forced to use chemical dispersants manufactured and sold by NALCO--a company with deep ties to Obama, along with Goldman-Sachs, Citigroup, Warren Buffet, and other Leftwing icons.
That, too, came under extremist environmentalist fire, and the company was ordered to stop using the dispersant due to the negative environmental impact.
That statement by the EPA is laughable. The environmental impact? It is hard to see how such an impact could be any worse than the huge globs of crude oil inundating the coastline.
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal began begging the federal government early-on for help in getting barrier devices into the Gulf to prevent the oil from reaching the shore, but the Obama Administration waited over 40 days to even acknowledge Jindal's request.
During that long wait, the oil began its siege on Louisiana's coastline, costing fishermen their jobs and animals their lives.
Clearly BP was not equipped to handle the massive consequences of the spill. Who, then, other than government, was able to get the equipment to the region in a timely fashion to place the necessary barriers? Given that BP's hands were tied by the Obama Administration's environmentalist wackos with regard to the oil burn method and the chemical dispersant method, what were the citizens along the Gulf coast supposed to do?
Rather than focusing on preventing even more carnage from this spill, Obama has chosen instead to go on a PR campaign against 'fossil fuels' and touting 'green energy.'
Why should we be surprised? This has been his ideological stance all along. He is now using this very sad tragedy for his own selfish political purposes.
America depends on oil. That is a fact. Green energy will not solve our energy needs, at least not for decades to come. Economics and our modern way of life dictate the continued use of oil.
But Obama has ordered all oil drilling to stop. His Administration has put a stop to the process of seeking to utilize America's vast resources of oil and natural gas on land as well as offshore.
This will do nothing but result in gasoline and heating fuel prices going through the roof. And, as the this report shows, the prospects for skyrocketing oil prices were very high prior to this disaster.
Americans will pay dearly for the policies of this Administration when it comes to energy. Some are predicting $9 per gallon for gasoline by the end of the year. We can also expect long gas lines since our refusal to use our own resources will force even greater dependence on foreign oil.
The last time a President implemented these policies was in 1977 under Jimmy Carter. Within one year gasoline prices doubled and gas lines stretched for blocks.
Welcome to Jimmy Carter's second term.

I bet its more!
Shiite--You are probably right. The outrage is growing against Obama on this single issue alone, not to mention all of the other debacles.
When did they stop doing controlled burns? They are limited by wind shifting and the like but they have done a good many thru this accident.
BP has pumped millions of gallons of dispersants onto the oil - there was some debate over EPA approval of one that had been banned other places.
When did BP stop using dispersants?
When did the govt. shut down the other operational wells from production?
There has been no oil removed from the market place - this was a new well and was not producing when it sunk. I'm not sure how this accident even impacts our short term oil supply.
The article you linked to indicated that all of the methods were being used in dealing with the spill - yet you indicated that they are not. Why would you link to an article that refuted yours?
lg--Read the history of the events, the timeline, from start until now, including statements made by Obama, the EPA, BP, and others. The chemical dispersant method was stopped and then restarted with a different compound which many say is not effective. In the meantime, precious time was lost. The environmentalists decried the oil burns, and those in the Administration stated they did not wish for that method to be employed. The fact that there were starts and stops means that during all of the delays the slick was allowed to get closer to the shore. The fact that these methods were used at some point does NOT mean they were used consistently, effectively, and universally. In addition, I did not say all oil pumps were banned. Drilling and new oil exploration has been hamstrung by this Administration. That alone will cause an energy crisis eventually.
why is it that oil eating microbes were not used ? How about straw as seen in Mitchell Langbert Blog "Farmers find hayseed (really)solution to oil spill"! Consider that people are getting sick when handling this stuff or even being around it as reported by the shrimpers and their families who were helping in the clean up. This stuff is as toxic as it comes. Hurricane season is upon them, this toxic oil is on the surface, and the high winds of a hurricane will turn the surface into a spray containing micro particles of this toxin which could possibly be carried hundreds of miles inland where millions of people will breathe in this noxious cocktail. These contaminants will also blanket everything that it comes in contact with....think of the area that a hurricane covers. This will become the oil industries (B.P.) Chernobyl !
I might add that it will become Barry O.'s Chernobyl too. His legacy is destined to be put into the annals of history for all of mankind to know about!
BP is owned & run by the same creatures that own the fed res & irs & MSM.
Phil--It is extremely interesting that so many of the methods available to essentially render the oil spill harmless were not used at all...not even considered. That is a travesty.
Anthony....We should also consider this oil spill not to be just a national disaster, but a regional disaster, and I would think that companies and governments world wide would be helping in the clean up! Also of note someone pointed out the other day that Goldman Sachs just days before the oil spill sold out 44 % of their P.B. stock ! P.B. is the largest shareholder of P.B. stock, and this was supposed to be the largest stock dump by share quantity that Goldman Sachs has ever done ! There might be some dots here that need to be connected !
PHIL- They used highly toxic dispersants & made the problem worse. They haven't cleaned it up because they don't want to. They run the governments, & do what they want to do.
BP RULES...What you have stated is true, and I'm well aware of the financial power elitist structure from the Rothschilds on down. These same people are meeting in Spain at their annual Bilderberg meeting. Coming up later this next month will be the G-20 meeting in Toronto Canada and I'm sure that Geithner will attend seeing that he has already attended many Bilderberg meetings already and their probably becoming pretty mundane for him ! The region and the world must hold B.P. and all parties accountable for this spill, if not they'll continue on the same course of maintaining the status quo !
Just like Bush's Katrina, the federal government is either incompetent, or complicit. They cant even protect the americans on board the gaza aid ships and side with the murderers, this shows that our media and the federal government is owned by a foreign entity...Israel.
It looks like the creatures with the fiat money own & run just about every country in the world, they do employ a few greedy dual zio-citizens.
RSBL....too true....the fed's stance as of late is in your face "I don't give a crap about you" and "what are you going to do about it". We ....the American people have been disenfranchised. This is what happens when the government runs us and we don't run the government. This is what happens when people rely on the government to do their thinking for them, when they require the government to do everything for them. Most if not all of the current bureaucrats sitting in their high offices in Washington think of us as children that must be led, and that we have no idea of how government should work or that it should be working for us...the people who voted them in to office in the first place. This is our fault for allowing this to happen !
Nail-head-phil. :)
Phil- It is our fault for letting this happen but most Americans are clueless. Another aspect of the problem is that they use their money and media to have theirs (s)elected.
Lets do a little math here everyone.....
Oblama bailed out Goldman, goldman gave themselves huge bonuses and bought their competition, the banks are still not lending our own money back to us...at interest.
Oblama set goldman employees in our treasury, the federal reserve also grabbed some and are also in our government...un-elected.
Oblama also appointed a goldman affiliate into the SCOTUS.
Goldman dumped BP stock just before the "spill".
Oblama helped BP bypass safety regulations.
My math says Oblama is a current employee of goldman sachs, check his portfolio.
Oblama lets BP control our public funded coast guard, BP is a foreign entity.
Oblama has committed treason.
Isnt math great?
"That statement by the EPA is laughable"
Lets also not forget the EPA lying to our heroes on 9/11 about the air quality, then covering it up while Bush committed treason and laughing all the way to the bank.
RSBL....hummm...you might be right ! I was thinking that Barry O. is still an operative of the corrupt C.I.A. and is continuing the H.W. Bush legacy!
I just hope and pray that the people wake up to what has been going on and start asking real and tough questions of those who wish to serve the people. I know I strongly disagree with Anthony about Israel, but let me be clear about my stance. I do not hate the Jews, or anyone for that matter...aside from traitors, but it is the governments, all accross the western world who have declared war on their own citizens, it is the multi-national corporations and the NWO head (Israeli government) who are orchestrating this. I know you are going to yell at me Anthony, however, the writing is on the walls, I advise you to take a more objective approach in your reporting as you are coming off as a right wing partisan. I agree with what you say about Oblama, however, there is a bigger picture afoot. I know if we had Iranian dual nationals in our government, you wouldnt be so quick to defend them, just as well, our government is infiltrated with Jewish nefarious interests, not american. Facts.

To RSBL
I don't know how the conversation changed from the oil spill (which is what the article is about) to Israel (notice the correct spelling) I doubt if anyone will change your mind, because it sounds as if you have much hate for the Jewish people, but I urge you to listen and understand something - and that is there is a BIG difference between the Israelis and the Leftist Jews in this country. Leftists have replaced their religion of Christianity or Judaism with the Leftist ideology, and most of them do not support Israel. The Democrats love the money from the the Jews but they don't give a damn about Israel. Israeli Jews are about survival. They are pioneers. They are a tough people who survived the barbarians of the Nazi regime, but many of the Jews of America don't relate at all to Israel. If the Palestinian Arabs put down their weapons there would be peace, If the Israelis put down their weapons there would be no Israel anymore.
Pajamas, I do not hate the Jewish people, not in the slightest bit, I cant stand Israel (if spelling is your biggest gripe) Government. Also, the palestinians would put down their weapons when Israeli government stops killing their children and stealing their land and treating them like animals like the Talmud states...go ahead spell checker and read it and weep.
If you bulldozed my house on my land, I would be doing the same thing, you dont go and commit warcrimes and genocide and expect flowers. Go read a book and see what Israel does to arabs or anyone not jewish, especially those who point out their crimes. Go see the map from when Israel did the "Nakba" and the newest maps, then come back and tell me im wrong. Sheesh, always with the "anti-semite" bit, I am anti-a$#hole, not anti-semite.
RSLB:
Bullshit, you ARE an a-hole. My brother-in-law has lived in Israel, lived in Jordan - and is not Jewish. And he has seen the truth with his own eyes, have you? Or do you believe the propaganda that they throw at you. The plight of the Palestinian Arabs is a sad one, not all to their making, but those in charge have made a fortune at their expense. The fact is undeniable if you will admit it - that the Hamas charter calls for the death to all of the Jews in Israel. Read it for yourself, or continue to look like an idiot. No country is perfect, no people are perfect, but where are the people who demand an explanation and apology for the 40-some South Koreans that were just brutally killed by the North Koreans? Was there UN condemnation - NO. You have a double standard for the Israelis and as is typical, only a big mouth and no first hand knowledge.
