More on fallout from Obama-BP Gulf oil disaster

Sources along the Gulf Coast in Louisiana have reported to Conservative Examiner that citizens, private relief groups, photographers, bloggers, and citizen journalists have been barred from access to the region.

(AP Photo/Dave Martin). Oil on the shoreline.

Only 'authorized' personnel are allowed, and that includes those journalists that are deemed 'authorized' by the federal government.

Conservative Examiner has also learned that the few authorized journalists and photographers that are allowed in the area have been instructed by the Feds not to write anything critical of the Obama Administration's response--or shall we say the lack thereof--to the crisis.  Photographers have also been instructed to limit photographs of the devastation.

These actions by the federal government do nothing but raise suspicions even more about the nature of this disaster and the scenario that led to it.

Those suspicions are certainly not abated at all by reports such as this, in the Telegraph of the U.K.:

BP chief Tony Hayward sold shares weeks before oil spill

The chief executive of BP sold £1.4 million of his shares in the fuel giant weeks before the Gulf of Mexico oil spill caused its value to collapse.

The report goes further to say,

Tony Hayward cashed in about a third of his holding in the company one month before a well on the Deepwater Horizon rig burst, causing an environmental disaster.

Mr Hayward, whose pay package is £4 million a year, then paid off the mortgage on his family’s mansion in Kent, which is estimated to be valued at more than £1.2 million.

His decision, however, means he avoided losing more than £423,000 when BP’s share price plunged after the oil spill began six weeks ago.

Since he disposed of 223,288 shares on March 17, the company’s share price has fallen by 30 per cent. About £40 billion has been wiped off its total value. The fall has caused pain not just for BP shareholders, but also for millions of company pension funds and small investors who have money held in tracker funds.

It is always suspicious when the chief executive of a major corporation sells either all or part of his holdings in his own company just prior to a disaster that leads to a big decline in the stock's value.

Next, there is the story of the Gulf fisherman's wife who reported to CNN that her husband and other fishermen in the Gulf came down with a mysterious illness only days after the oil rig explosion:

When David Arnesen reported that the other men were so sick they were cutting their shrimping trips short and heading home, his wife knew something strange was happening. Shrimpers work through illness, she says, because a trip cut short can cost a shrimper thousands of dollars.

She says the men had all the same symptoms at the same time -- vomiting, dizziness, headaches, shortness of breath. Could it be a coincidence?

"I don't believe in coincidence. It would be one thing if one of them got sick. It would maybe be OK if two got sick," she says. "When everyone's getting sick all at the same time, that's not coincidence"

When asked at a news conference Sunday about people getting sick while out on the Gulf, BP CEO Tony Hayward had his own theory.

"Food poisoning is clearly a big issue," HE said. "It's something we've got to be very mindful of."

Arnesen says there's no way her husband and the men on the other boats had fallen victim to food poisoning, noting the men were on eight boats and didn't eat the same food.

Mrs. Arnesen believes that fumes and vapors from the chemical dispersants used to treat the oil slick caused the illness.

Despite the economic devastation to fishermen and tourism along the Gulf coast, Barack Obama has added insult to injury by announcing a ban on all future oil drilling.  That has raised the ire of some even within Obama's own Party.

U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, D-Louisiana, stated that such a ban would inflict even more pain on the people along the Gulf coast.

Fox News reports the following from Senator Landrieu:

Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., warned about the danger of a permanent flight of the industry from the region.

"If these big rigs ever leave the Gulf ... it's not like you can make those every day or every year. Some of them take years to build. If they leave the Gulf and go drill under long-term contracts off the coast of Africa, they're not coming home any time soon," she said.

The report also stated there is growing bipartisan concern in Congress that the drilling ban would cause immediate and longterm economic hardship not only for the region but for the entire country.  The ban would cause the loss of thousands of jobs and drain hundreds of millions of dollars out of the economy.

So far, however, Obama is sticking to his guns on the oil drilling ban, showing once again that extremist Leftwing political ideology is more important than helping suffering people in the deep South by maintaining a steady, prudent course on oil, recognizing that our economy and our entire way of life is nearly 100% dependent on petroleum products.

The only way, apparently, that sane Americans can put a stop to the madness in Washington is to send to Congress an overwhelming super-majority of conservative Republicans so that the Obama agenda can be thwarted and reversed.

Dot...dot...dot,and even more dots. It isn't fun connecting the dots of the Barry O. administration is it! The dots shown to us so far...the one's that we have connected...are beginning to show the head of Barry O.'s Medusa coming out of his den of iniquity. His actions are blatant and in our faces. This man(?)and his administration are not, and never have they been representational of the people and ideals of OUR nation.OUR Constitution and Bill of Rights have been thrown out and are possibly floating on top of that oil slick in the gulf.Lets not loose track, nor forget that Barry O. was a C.I.A. operative in his younger days. By Barry O. having no true past that anyone can trace, we can only assume that he has always been an operative for the C.I.A., and is continuing to do so as OUR sitting president! The defecation he has perpetrated onto the good people of OUR nation, nor any of that oil in the gulf will ever stick to the teflon man with no past! What will be the next dot for us ?

The word I am getting from members of Congress, on the Q-T, is that Obama hates the Constitution, and the elected representatives of the people who adhere to that Constitution--in both Parties--are fearful of what is actually going on in this Administration. THAT is frightening!

Anthony.....Barry O. is an admitted Leninist/socialist with Marxist propensities. This fact alone gives credence to what you have stated. What we have to consider is why is it that Barry O. continues to get away with all that he does and in some cases all that he doesn't do... i.e. lack of action in the oil spill? What hold does he and the powers behind him have over OUR House of Representatives and OUR Senate? Just who and what are the great and fearful powers behind the man with no past? Are the very lives of OUR elected officials and their families being threatened by these unseen and unknown powers? Not only has Barry O.'s past been erased, the very process by which we can assimilate information on him or any other item of interest is being threatened by his actions to control the internet! Is this no different than North Korea's president Kim Jong and his modus operandi with the powerful controls he places on the North Koreans. I fear that too soon the same forces will be on us !

Anthony, if your statement is true, what do they intend to do about it? It is there job to uphold the constitution, and if it is not being upheld they must change it. They took an oath.

Barry O.'s control of the off shore oil drilling ban only goes to show and promulgate the lack of a future for off shore oil drilling. This action will put into place the "green energies" that Barry and his minions will have control of, and will make billions of dollars. Most do not understand that most of the "green energies" have never come on line due to the lack of funding to start up companies, and the myriad of governmental hoops they were required to jump through. These companies were allowed to fail deliberately so their patients could be bought up by large multinational energy corporates and their subsidiaries, who in the future(now)will reap all of the financial benefits and have total control of OUR energy future. Some of these start up companies were bought up out right or merged into the corporate structure. We'll have new energies alright, but the same power elitist will be at the controls of those new energies, hiding behind the corporate structure behind them !

He is continuing the "government by emergency". Everything screams foreknowledge, from Goldman and now the CEO dumping stocks before the "spill".

Notice all the "emergencies" that look like foreknowledge or even complicity from 9/11 on down. Most of the legislation, like the patriot act were already written and waiting to be crammed down our throats, also global warming, swinw flu and many more. Problem, reaction, solution. Now they do it for private profit as well. It is time to start looking into the portfolios of our elected servants and see where their true loyalties lie as well as the conflicts of interests. I just read another article about how they are having trouble finding a federal judge that isnt benefitting from big oil down there. (whatreallyhappened-dot-com)

    Thanks Anthony for great reporting.

Keep it coming. Didn't someone say on the show last night that of all the major oil disasters, all but one have been from tankers? If regular people don't see the scariness of not allowing pictures to document this, I don't know know how to wake them up. This is controlled knowledge - i.e. North Korea, China, Venezuela.

Tom: words are a two edged sword that can cut both ways. However Mr. Martin comes by his information is private, guaranteed rights of the freedom of the press. He has a background in journalism, he has worked for Reagan, he has rubbed shoulders with politicians, and I assume that he still does today in order to write a political column. It's obvious that our elected officials in Washington are not standing up to all of the discrepancies in the Barry O. administration...much akin to the Bush administration also. For example...why was it that nothing was done when Barry O. became president of the United Nations security council, an impeachable offense, and nothing was done about it, and it remains that way to this very day! The teflon man without a past isn't being held accountable for his actions or lack thereof..just like many who we have elected on both sides of the political aisle! I've been watching Washington for almost 50 years of my life, and never have I seen so much corruption!

Anthony - Sources tell me that you despise the Constitution and your writings here are an elaborate attempt to make people so angry that a revolution results.

It's pretty obviously an absurd assertion, but please prove it not to be true.

Obviously you can't. That's my point. You (and others of similar persuasions) really need to stop insisting that people who disagree with you must hate the Constitution. It's a ridiculous and childish statement.

Anthony - No matter how much you dislike some of the things this administration has done, there is just no way an objective observer is going to look back at this period in our history and say Obama was trying to destroy our country. I know it's impossible for you to admit when you've got an audience to perform for. But but that's just reality.

Tom--I am not going to discuss it with you any further. You are being obtuse. MILLIONS of Americans ALREADY believe he is deliberately destroying American, via Alinsky and Cloward-Piven.

I'm not apologizing for anyone. I've got my beefs with this administration too. But honestly it doesn't really matter what "millions" of people happen to believe write now. I'm just saying that 10, 20, 50, etc. years from now, no objective observer is going to say that Obama was trying to destroy our country. That doesn't mean you and others can't believe that he is...just that objective observers won't see it that way because the things that have happened over the past 16 months are not really that far outside the mainstream. And we've probably got just as many people saying that this administration has not gone far enough as are saying that they've gone too far. Sorry, but life for the center looks very different than life from our respective partisan sides.

I think the main point here is: THE FREE PRESS IS DEAD!! Once information is government controlled, it doesn't really matter that much who is in power. The point is, the power no longer resides with the people. Government is suppose to protect our right of free press, instead, it has control of it. And that, is tyranny and abuse of power.
