Is Barack Obama anti-Semitic?

Since Barack Obama took office a series of statements, policy initiatives, and unprecedented diplomatic 'errors' have led to a dreadful question that now must be considered--is the President of the United States anti-Semitic?

(AP Photo/Cliff Owen, File) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The latest faux pas occurred when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the White House this week.  Obama was miffed that the Israelis have begun building houses in what is erroneously called 'the Palestinian part of Jerusalem.'

Aside from the fact that there is no such thing as a 'Palestinian part of Jerusalem,' given that the city belongs to the Jews, the Obama Administration has consistently, from day one, pressured and bullied Israel to stop building settlements in 'Palestinian territory,' in spite of the fact that the Palestinians use this territory to fire upon, maim, and kill Israelis.

Obama is reportedly also miffed that Israel has hinted it will bomb Iran in order to take out its nuclear factories, which it admits are charged with the task of building nuclear weapons, which it also has made clear it intends to use against Israel to 'wipe it off the map.'

The meeting between Obama and Netanyahu was characterized by White House sources as 'tense.'

And this brings us to the unprecedented diplomatic faux pas.  Obama, in his characteristic 'my way or the highway' attitude toward almost everything, simply walked away from the table, returning to the Presidential residence upstairs, leaving Netanyahu sitting alone with no dinner.

Sources reported that Netanyahu departed from the White House grim faced.

No wonder Obama barred the media from taking any photos of the meeting.  Obama even refused to have his picture taken at all with Netanyahu.

Never in American history has a foreign head of state been treated so rudely at an official meeting at the White House.

But this is the same President who bows to Muslims leaders around the world, cozied up to communist Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and received the highest accolades from the quintessential western hemisphere communist, Fidel Castro, for shoving his Marxist healthcare bill onto a resistant public.

And this is the same President whose very first official act in office was a phone call to the Palestinian leader to inform him that as of that day, official U.S. policy is in favor of 'the Palestinian goal.'

Of course, the ultimate goal of Palestinians is not simply to occupy ancient Hebrew land and half of Jerusalem.  They want the entirety of the Jewish state abolished.

Thus, it is entirely reasonable that Americans visit the unthinkable--is Barack Obama anti-Semitic?

And even more importantly, it is crucial that Americans ask the question, Why would ANY Jew in this country support someone like Barack Obama?

Forgive the typo in the headline, folks. It has been corrected but it takes a while for corrections to show on Examiner. I have an eye disorder that leads to common typing errors to be overlooked. Sorry about that.

I regret to say that he is not the only one. Patrick J. Buchanan has displayed an anti-Semitic attitude for the last twenty years.

Of course he is an anti-semite,muslims by definition are anti-semite,and he has proven by his actions that he is still a muslim,REGUARDLESS what he claims! And in his buddy Charlie Rangal's words just the other day he is also aa SOCIALIST,OR AT LEAST HIS POLICIES ARE SOCIALIST.

Terry, Buchanan said some very disturbing things during the 2000 campaign that caused me to totally revamp my thinking about him. His statements praising Adolf Hitler and degrading the Jews led me to disavow any support I previously had for him, I am sad to say.

I've been hearing a lot more about Israeli atrocities than Palestinian, not to say the Palestinians and Hamas haven't committed their fair share. The point is, Israel's push to settle this area is a new act of aggression that will generate huge problems in the search for a lasting peace. This is why Obama is fed up with Israel. Sujecting he is anti-semitic is extraordinarily base.

This article is wrong on so many accounts that it's hard to know where to start.

    1) No, Jerusalem does not belong to the Jews (furthermore, calling all Israelis "Jews" isn't accurate either). Anyway, East Jerusalem is recognized as belonging to the West Bank by every country in the world except Israel. Their building of settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank is basically an invasion. Furthermore, the Palestinians of the West Bank are far less violent than those in Gaza- the West Bank is home to Fatah, the enemies of Hamas. By antagonizing Fatah, Israel is shooting itself in the foot.

    2) According to the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz

"More than one-third of West Bank settlements were built on private Palestinian land that was temporarily seized by military order for "security purposes," according to a report by the Civil Administration that is being published here for the first time."

    3) Just because you oppose someone's policies doesn't mean that you hate their ethnicit

Jack, that's because your 'sources' are skewed Left.

Jacob--sorry, but I do not accept U.N.-sanctioned definitions of what belongs to Israel and what does not. The entire land belongs to the Jews--and the vast majority--over 90% of Israelis are Jews despite your futile attempt to divert and deflect.

This editorial is beyond ridiculous. I agree with what Jacob Henderson says. Also, interesting that you point out that Jack's sources are skewed Left. As if your sources aren't skewed way, way Right? Just because someone doesn't support all of Israel's policies 100% doesn't mean they are anti-Semitic. Please, there is absolutely no logic in that.

Wow, so quick to slander your own country's leader when faced with Israel, huh? Last I checked every (or most) countries in the world, including the U.S., recognizes East Jerusamlem, the West Bank and the Gaza strip as occupied Palestinian territory.

I don't think Obama is anti-semitic, but you seem to side with Israel no matter how they try to cleanse the Palestinian population, let me ask you: Are YOU anti-semitic? Because, you know, being Arab, Palestinians are semites too. Or, if you are going with the cultural definition of "anti-semite", are you simply anti-Muslim?

Alright, then, let's get right down to brass tacts, shall we? Obama is ANTI-JEW (not including Leftwing secular American 'Jews' who sold out years ago). And ANYONE who excuses the slaughter of Jews by Palestinians by drawing attention to deadly force Israel uses to protect itself, is ALSO ANTI-JEW! Is that plain enough for ya?

The fact that Obama does not drop to bended knee before Israeli national interests and considers US national interests to take priority is a welcome change from the first six-plus years of the neo-con controlled Bush administration.

It doesn't make Obama "ANTI-JEW" - it makes him PRO-AMERICAN.

yes, the only President to celebrate Seder for two years, and whose staff is largely filled by Jewish people, including his TOP THREE right hand men, is an anti-semite......NOT.

    Word of the Day Dhimmitude.

Obamacare is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia muslim diktat in the USA. Muslims are specifically exempted.

Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to islam. Louis Farrakhan will have no penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for. Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. This is Dhimmitude.
