The same mafia-style Chicago thugocracy that got Obama into his state senate seat (by elbowing all his opponents off the ballot with an army of lawyers seizing on bogus technicalities) is now using the same brutal gutter tactics to silence an electrifying black conservative.
State senate candidate Cedra Crenshaw of Bolingbrook, Illinois is a brilliant, Tea Party-backed patriot who champions the free market, limited government, and legitimately got herself on the ballot with the required number of signatures.
But the Chicago Machine is threatened by her, so it hired some of Barack Obama's lawyers to force her out. The will of the people be damned.

I wish I had money to send her to help her fight the Chicago machine. But unfortunately, thanks to what they have done to our economy, I remain unemployed, foreclosed/evicted from my home of over 10 years, and having to choose between rent, the medical care my sick pet needs right now and food. The Constitution Party signatures have been challenged by the Illinois Republican Party. Immitation is the greatest form of flattery. The Illinois Republican Party is immitating Barack Obama.
Remember when Tom Cross was crying tears in his beer over the Democrats in the General Assembly voting for SB600? Tom Cross was outraged that another party would have input in the way the Republican operation works in Illinois.
Now the same people who were up in arms about that have turned around and are teliing Constitution Party Members and voters, They cannot vote for Constitution Party candidates.

The Illinois GOP is diverting all efforts to challenge those candidates’ petitions that may have a negative impact on OUR Republican nominees (it is our belief that these candidates will steal votes from Republicans.) Starting Tuesday through Saturday it is a must that we fill up all terminals.
All the Committeemen, Precinct Captains and Republicans (County, township and ward) statewide are being asked to divert their time and volunteers to this effort. We have 25 terminals and must fill those throughout the week to achieve victory in 2010.
This information is time sensitive – -One hour or two hours is needed CALL NOW.

Politicians are politicians - getting back to citizen candidates like Cedra is a logical step. We should be talking unity, not divisiveness (like Rosanna is). The politicos are so afraid of candidates like Cedra they need to bump them off (figuratively speaking).
My great-grandfather was in politics when William Hale Thompson was in office. Thompson was the last Republican mayor of Chicago and was in bed with Al Capone. Politicians on both sides are corrupt (especially in Illinois)...the answer is more honest citizen candidates with private sector experience who have no interest in becoming career politicians.
Claiming that a new party is going to save us is rather ridiculous...look at what a miserable failure the Libertarian party has been over the past 20+ years.
That is why many of them are now running as Republicans...they can't make it under a third party banner.

In Illinois the R or D by someone's name really means nothing. In many cases, the person with an R is just a loser who couldn't make the cut in Madigan's organization. He requires some depth in the gene pool at least. Other times it's just an opportunistic thing based on district. "Republican" Tom Cross for example is really a Dem. His law firm is connected to A.J. Whilhelmi, the state senator who is behind the challenge to Cedra. Whilhelmi is even listed as Tom Cross' 2nd "friend" on Facebook.
I'm all for standing up for Cedra, but let's not kid ourselves that the IL GOP is any better. In fact no one is doing more right now to try and keep good people off the ballot with harrassment objections than the IL GOP. And that's a fact. So defend Cedra yes. But those on here pretending the GOP in Illinois is any kind of "white knight" are being just as dishonest and scummy as any Illinois Dem

i had such a citizen statesman out here in CA. 45th, he went up against Bono-Mack but only managed to get 30% of the vote. with the backing of Romney and Gingrich both are establishment rino's both in my opinion and also backing from Bohner. My guy got the CRA endorsement he got the Icaucus endorsement and endorsements from nearly every tea party group in the area but when it came down to it people still gave it to bono,we only had a 30% vote turnout in the district pretty pathetic they want change but the establishment does not. so they will do whatever it takes to keep their own in. Anderson cooper apologized because he is a legit journalist who made an inappropriate comment. Whether intentionally or not, he gave off an impression that he wasn't neutral, as true journalists are supposed to be. (unlike the crackpots like robert moon)
