Still fulfilling campaign promises, President Obama filled out his ESPN NCAA bracket which will be reported on ESPN on Wednesday at noon. The private promise was made to ESPN's Andy Katz on the campaign trail.
Top of the president's list? According to AP television writer David Bauder, Louisville, North Carolina, Memphis and Pittsburgh will be Obama's picks for the Final Four in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Katz had this to say about the presidential picks.
"It was an educated bracket," Katz said. "He knew what he was doing. It wasn't some random kind of pick. There were no political favors or anything like that."
Obviously Katz and Obama have become close since the campaign. You'll remember the two shared a pick up basketball game in Chicago on election day. Apparently, Obama makes good on his secret promises with basketball buddies.

An educated bracket? How in the world does our Commander In Chief have time to make an educated bracket for the NCAA men's basketball tournament? Isn't he supposed to be running the country? And please don't say that event the president deserves some time off. He has only been in office 2 months and has already taken family vacations, traveled back to Illinois, had private concerts and Wednesday night cocktail hours in the White House, has been on dates with his wife, enjoys breakfast and dinner with his family nearly every night and is now planning a campaign tour including a spot on NBC's Jay Leno.
All of this partying, basketball and flying around the country makes me wonder. Is Obama working at all? And if not, who's running the country?

How about Obama's picks for the Stanley Cup?
Supposed to be running the country? How much vacation time did Bush 43 take again? Like, a record amount? Obama's taken a few hours off at a time, Bush took months off at a time. Don't even come with this double-standard crap.
For pete's sake. I am getting tired of hearing "well Bush did it!" argument. Absolutely nowhere in this article or any other article I have written on this site do I say that Bush was a model president. There is nothing wrong with criticizing our leaders even if they are named Obama. The man has been in office for 2 months and has already taken an exorbitant amount of time off and has had multiple parties in the White House, on Air Force One, Marine One and has visited "home" more than once. Now he is blowing off a time honored tradition of attending the Gridiron Banquet because he will be a whole 20 minutes away on Spring Break with his family. The presidency of the United States isn't your typical executive gig. He needs to take it more seriously and forego the California vacation to appear on a Late Nite comedy shindig. Get to work already!
