In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, John Morton the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said that while he would step up deportations by going after employers that hire illegals, he said “his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona officials.”

“I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution,"

What? He’s not going to what…? He’s… doesn’t think…not…a solution…?

I had to read this a couple of times to make sure I had it right. Let’s understand this folks. The top immigration enforcement official in the country is not going to enforce the law because “HE” doesn’t believe that laws like SB1070 are a “solution.”

This is not up to him, he doesn’t decide which laws are good laws and which are not.

Didn’t we fight a civil war over this very issue, well only in reverse this time? The south in 1861 refused to adhere to federal law about ending slavery. Rather than comply they seceded from the union. You know the rest.

Here we have the same situation only this time the state has passed a law and the federal government is refusing to acknowledge and carry it out.

Well, let’s be clear, the threat has been made. Morton didn’t say he absolutely will not carry out the law. There is an indication that this might be a calculated approach from the White House to see what kind of public reaction they might get if they indeed went through with it.

Fox News (thank god for Fox News) is reporting that they confirmed with Homeland Security, which oversees ICE that all the statements and quotes attributed to him are true. They also issued the following statement:

“The president ordered the Department of Justice to examine the civil rights and other implications of this law. That review will inform the government’s actions going forward.”

Department of Justice, that’s Holder’s office. I hope he is planning on reading the bill before he concludes his investigation.

So, the insinuation here is that indeed the government is trying to stall so they can find something unconstitutional about the law as it presently reads.

In the meantime Arizona is burning.

Marie Antoinette Obama in the White House is telling Arizonans to eat cake.

If you search on the Internet there are calls for John Morton to be fired. Well, that’s fine, except who will terminate him? If this is a full government conspiracy all the way to the top then John Morton will not lose his job because he is doing exactly what his boss is telling him to do.

Here's what’s clear. There is a whole government disconnect from Obama on down with the American people on this issue.

So, here is my message to Obama, Holder, John Morton, Janet Napolitano, and the rest of those boobs in Washington that exposed themselves for what they are the other day standing up and cheering a foreign president as he berated Americans over their own internal policy and within the hallowed walls of congress no less.

You work for us. You don’t make decisions on your own. We still have a system of laws. Your job is to carry them out. So do it!

John Morton should be fired...oh, but that would require a competent chain of command to do their jobs, which we do not have!

Mr. Morton should be fired. His comments today are an insult to the vast majority of ICE employees who do their jobs each day to uphold the law and protect this country.

    Fire him at once.

He is refusing to investigate illegal entry into the US.

Obama administration doesn't prosecute voter intimidation or illegal entry.

Morton should be fired immediately for his refusal to do his job. I suggest that all conservatives take on the tactics of the left and immediately begin filing law suits against Morton. If he won't do his job, let's bankrupt him personally.

Mr. Morton is just another example of this administrations arrogance and refusal to apply the laws of the land.

    He should be removed immediately.

Thank you John Morton for your courage in standing against clear racist motive in Arizona. If you want to address the problem, arrest the people who employee illegals.
    John Morton should be promoted.

Okay, how do we get this bonehead out of office? A recall? Or how about just all of us decided which laws we'll enforce or follow? Let's all go nuts! Anarchy! Woohoo! Morton Resign, you dipstick. You don't deserve your post and you are a disgrace to our nation.

If ICE will not process illegals in AZ and they will not process illegals caught working in Washington State, then why do we have an ICE. Are any illegals being deported?
