New York, NY - Another jihadist declared himself guilty today in New York City's federal courthouse. This time, it was an Afghan who was Americanized on the East Coast, trained by al quaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan and intent on blowing himself up in the subways of New York.
Only islam is able to put such an army at the fore, it seems. And, whether it is beheading Jewish journalists, desecrating foreign workers or stoning to death philanderers, it seems that the holy war of islam just seems to roll along.
For a truly in depth, almost real-life, experience of how these jihadis are both tormented and demented, you might try reading the book 72 Virgins by Avi Perry.
Perry, grew up among many of the character-types in his page-burner, then served in the Israeli Defense Forces where he gained valuable and relevant experiences in military intelligence. He was also a professor at Northwestern University, a Bell Laboratories distinguished member and manager, and a Vice President of a hi-tech company. It is clear from the detailed, factual interweaving of technical knowledge into the 72 Virgins that he used all of his knowledge telling this tale.
The main character, Arik Golan, begins the story by being discharged from the IDF, then basically eloping on a hot and sexy honeymoon with his sweetheart, Rachel, to Bali. This is where the real fun begins.
As the story goes on, the facts between Arik and the jihadis soon take more twists and turns than a bowl of Putanesca at Vince's Italian joint. Arik, with each page, seems to delve ever deeper into the terrorist organization until he, too, is on the run from the CIA, IDF, FBI and even the terrorists themselves.
This story is so well developed and told, it took everything I had to put the book down and go to sleep!
I give it an A+...
Now, back to the terrorist Najibullah Zazi and his guilty plea in New York City. This guy came back to the country - the USA - that had befriended him, gave him some semblance of culture, education and a future in life for the purpose of destroying it.
After reading the story in the NY Times and elsewhere about Zazi, I am very, very happy that both Israel and the great USA have Arik Golan's amongst their alphabet-soup agencies who can snoop out and eliminate these scum.
