President Obama’s new science adviser John Holdren would be laughable, if he weren’t so well educated, eminently qualified and sitting in the chair of Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He is also the Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President’s Council of Advisor's on Science and Technology.
Informally, he is known as the United States Science Czar. He is the holder of a S.B. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a S.M. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has a Ph.D. from Stanford University awarded in 1970.
He has a string of achievements and awards behind him. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and a former member of President Clinton’s Committee of Advisor's on Science and Technology.
He also looks and sounds like a 1950’s mad scientist. One of the great puzzles is how a man who is so well educated and has achieved so much, can still be a total moon bat.
The web site zombietime.com reveals much about our new Science Czar, in an article entitled “John Holdren, Obama’s Science Czar, says: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet.” Sounds like a headline in the National Enquirer, doesn’t it?
he frightening thing is he said it and has yet to really do much more than lip service at his conformation hearing, to distance himself from it. A terse, one sentence versus 30 years or more, of advocating everything from one world government and fertility police, to putting infertility drugs in your drinking water and forced abortions.
In a book he co- authored in 1977 entitled “Ecoscience”, he wrote: Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not; The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation’s drinking water or in food; Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise; People who “contribute to social deterioration”(i.e. undesirables) “can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility”- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized. A transnational “Planetary Regime” should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of American’s lives-using an armed international police force.
On page 787-8 of his book, he shows far more concern about animals than his fellow humans when he says ”That mass sterilization of humans through drugs in the water supply is OK as long as it doesn’t harm livestock.”
On page 838 he says “If some individuals contribute to general social deterioration by overproducing children, and if the need is compelling, they can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility-just as they can be required to exercise responsibility in their resource consumption patterns-providing they are not denied equal protection.”
Let’s stop and analyze this paragraph for a second. Who decides what constitutes “social deterioration”? What if one, just one, of those excess children he is talking about could have been Albert Einstein? Required to (presumably by law) exercise responsibility in there resource consumption patterns?
English translation: The state will tell you what to eat, what to wear, where to live and if you are allowed to own a car or not.
Denied equal protection? In the book “Animal Farm” it was pointed out that “some animals are more equal than others.” This was usual fare in Nazi Germany and in the Soviet block as well. Party members got the best of everything and got it first, though every citizen was supposed to be “equal.”
As part of his series of profiles on President Barack Obama's many policy "czars" on FOX news, host Sean Hannity looked at the new "Science Czar"(July 14, 2009 show), John P. Holdren. Hannity pointed out in his segment, Holdren as been quoted as calling the United States the "meanest of wealthy countries." He has also, according to Hannity, "left the door open" to prosecuting "global warming deniers."
Dr. Holdren has advocated the de-development of the United States. In an on line article by Michelle Malkin, entitled “Reminder: The Population Control Freak & The Perv Tonight on CBS” in quotes from Dr. John Holdren, she quotes him as saying “A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States…De-development means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into the realities of ecology and the global situation.
…The need for de-development presents our economists with a major challenge. They must design a stable, low consumption economy in which there is much more equitable distribution of wealth than in the present one. Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided to every human being.”
Dr. Holdren appears to have achieved great learning and lost his humanity at the same time. He wouldn’t know freedom or the right to pursue happiness if he tripped over them in the dark. This is the man who advises our President? Or could it be that birds of a feather just naturally flock together?

Comments
what is it Dr. Holdren's appearance to which you object? His facial hair?
Speaking of moon bats...sheesh. Nice out-of-context, selective misinterpretation, you dope.
I wonder - are personal attacks sufficient to have one's comments removed from this blog by the moderator?
Hmm.. I believe this whole "blog" was a personal attack desguised as an "article". I also think you meant "portrait" in the headline, rather than "protrait". Good effort,though.. I guess.
Everyone should click on the "Report article" button on this page (it's at the end of the article on the right) to complain about this lousy hit piece.
Only someone as pretty as Lennis could take such a cheap shot at the guy's appearance.
what are the degrees "s.b." and "s.m."? Is this an MIT designation or a mistake in the article?
Joe, check his bio. These are MIT degrees.
Sounds like a garden-variety Eugenicist, right out of the late 19th century.
Crazy as a Peach Orchard Boar.
That he's so lettered is a testimony to the hard-wiring at Stanford and the Academies, also. He's mad as a hatter, and 888,000 Americans died destroying this meme already, after it went on display in Berlin in 1933 and later went on tour starting with Poland, 70 years ago this month.
I'm getting tired of this story.
Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, wore it out.
What, did some stage designer, somewhere, decide we'd replay the Second World War, only this time we get to wear the Coal-Shuttle helmets?
Got something to say?
