Where is Dennis Moore? Not at the Recess Rally

Courtesy of Matt BatzelThis past Saturday, thousands of people from all across the country banded together to show their disdain towards the bloated government and it’s over-reaching hands.

A particularly large group of us “extremists” gathered in Johnson County, outside of Representative Dennis Moore’s office, outraged that he refuses to meet with his constituents about healthcare. We chanted “No more Moore” over and over again with a hefty inflection of disgust.
Dennis Moore says he has been threatened, therefore, will not put himself at risk to meet with the people he represents. To Dennis Moore I ask, why do we put our soldiers at risk every day, yet you are afraid of an old woman yelling at you? Do you really think that if someone wanted to harm you, they wouldn’t be able to find a time or place to do it? Why would it only happen at a town hall?
Courtesy of Matt BetzelAcross the street from the “too much government” protest, was a smaller protest with signs reading “Palin is a liar” and “70% of Americans want a public option.” I am not sure where they get their information, but according to Rasmussen, only 35% want the current bill to pass. Maybe their signs should read “We are liars.”
I also noticed that the protestors across the street seemed to be angry, not chanting, but SCREAMING at our side of the street. What are they so livid about? Are they angry that their health care bill is getting less and less support? Are they upset that the democrats aren’t just ramming this thing through? Are they mad that our republic seems to work?
Lastly, I would like to thank the police who were there, protecting the protestors from each other. They were professional, kind and seemed to understand that we did have a right to be there. Not once did I see them throwing their power around, like a teenage lifeguard. It was common to see them stop traffic to help someone cross the street. I commend them. They did a fantastic job.

Dennis Moore is acting poorly and I hope the voters see him for the coward he is when he won't take the time to listen to the folks who elected him too office.

Its good that he showed up to the Lawrence Chamber event where it cost 15.00 for a member and 20.00 for a non-member to attend. But he needs to have town hall meetings open to the average citizen in his district. So that he can here from his loyal voters who have returned him too Washington perhaps one time too many. Frankly I am really saddened that he feals that his safety is threatend by the citizens of Douglas and Johnson County.

Dennis does not want to face the facts tha his nothing more then a Democratic party shill who votes whatever Nancy Pelosi tells him to vote. His agenda appears to have become a one that is not of heartland values that most Kansans have.

    Part two: Dennis Moore
Scheduling no town hall meetings sends a message loud and clear that Dennis has checked out of Kansas and no longer cares about what is right for America.

Last October at Johnson County Community College he was running scared like a deer with a light in his eyes when his opponent Nick Jorden almost did a TKO on Moore's dynasty in DC.
Well Dennis you need to either start talking with and for your constituants in your district and be sent home to Overland Park and you sit in your rocking chair playing your guitar.
Hit the radio shows. Chris Stigall has invited you on his show. Schedule some town halls in your district. We are Kansans and very proud folks. We are not Thugs. There are no thugs in Lawrence or Johnson County. If you can't take the heat then its time for you to let somebody else who can represent our district step up.

Our district needs a leader to step up and you seem to be a follower of the far left these day.

Dennis Moore has been a poor Represenative for the citizens of Kansas. He voted for cap n' trade. We live in the midwest. It gets cold here. He could care less about our utility bills. I want him gone.
