The newest print periodical in the Kansas City metro will hit the newsstands on Tuesday, February 1st. It's called The Citizen and it is the brainchild of marketing, media and public relations guru, Greg Brooks, of West Third Group.
The Citizen will publish monthly and will be available at numerous distribution points around the metro area for free to readers.
Brooks describes the focus of The Citizen as "news, opinion, and a voice for readers committed to liberty and freedom." The slant will be right of center and a much longed-for contrast to the Kansas City Star, The Pitch, and other left oriented publications.
Featured columnists and contributors include Patrick Tuohey of The Missouri Record blog; the Missouri Watchdog; the Kansas Watchdog; Christian homeschooler mom and blogger, Dee Vantuyl, on 'Faith and Family"; former Kansas State Representative and political activist, Benjamin Hodge; and even I will be dropping in to examine issues and ideas from a socio-cultural viewpoint.
See my headline article in The Citizen on Jack Cashill and his new book, Deconstructing Obama, which will be released in February.
The Citizen is coming! The Citizen is coming! Pick up your copy this week.
