After a weekend in which the Democratic leadership of the Senate engaged in closed-door “negotiations” to “secure” the 60 votes required to pass their sweeping “health care reform” bill, it is now a certainty that socialism will become a reality in America. Regardless of the fact that a majority of Americans are already happy with their health coverage and do not want this bill to pass, the Democratic Party plans to simply ignore the pleas of their voters and intend to ram the bill through the Senate early on the morning of Christmas Eve. The vote on this bill, which will radically transform one-sixth of the American economy and put our nation into debt for generations to come, arrives on the heels of a final vote to shut off all debate on the bill one day earlier. As far as Harry Reid and his radicals are concerned, the debate is over.
In essence, President Obama, Senator Reid and Speaker Pelosi have kept the details of their bill hidden away from the American people, whom they hold in total contempt. They have intentionally locked the electorate out the debate because they know the American people would never allow their radical plan to leave the gate if they knew what was really coming down the road. In order to get this bill passed as quickly and quietly as possible, the Democrats have resorted to threats, intimidation and bribery of various members of the Senate, including Democrat holdouts, to obtain a “yes” vote. Reid has made back door deals with several members of his party, such as Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, with financial earmarks to their respective states in exchange for their votes. If a private citizen does this, it is called blackmail, coercion and bribery, usually punishable by law. When Harry Reid does it with Senators, who gladly sell their votes, and souls, for the money, it is called “compromise.” They will use these purchased votes to ramrod their “hope” and “change,” better known as the failed system called Socialism, right down our throats. It is the equivalent of “flipping the bird,” not only to the Republicans and TEA Party members, but to almost 75 percent of the American electorate who oppose this measure.
This corrupt “legislation” is just the latest example of the intentional path of national destruction that Team Obama is hell-bent on leading us down. The President and all his radical leftist Democratic allies have declared the Constitution as no longer necessary. They have decided that the Constitution itself is “unconstitutional,” and therefore, is “null and void.” In ramming this bill into law, and by all their actions on many other major issues throughout 2009, the Obama administration and their radical allies in the Democratic Party have simply dropped all pretense of acting like elected servants of the people. They have openly displayed their true resentment of the representative republic on which our nation is framed. They are taking the dangerous steps of implementing what appears to be autocratic rule over America, with no tolerance for dissent.
During his acceptance speech last November in Chicago’s Grant Park, Obama declared that his administration would be “the most transparent” of any in our national history. He promised a “new era” of crossing party lines, building bipartisanship, and “earning the trust” of the 45.7 percent, or 60 million Americans who did not vote for him. During the entire campaign, Obama, a virtual unknown to voters just four years earlier, delivered eloquent “scripted” speeches, reciting over and over how he would reduce taxes on everyone making under $250,000 dollars. He promised an electorate, weary of two wars, that he could “deliver” the United States back into the international community as a “loved” country. Obama pretended to be a moderate liberal, leading his supporters and audiences to believe he would govern from the political center while respecting the institutions and liberties which have made this nation great. In the haze of emotional excitement that swept a slight majority of the nation, Obama was rewarded with the Oval Office. When he took the oath of office on the Capital steps, promising to “defend the Constitution of the United States of America,” the throngs of “worshippers” who voted for him cheered with excitement and optimism, as the new era of “change” and “hope” had finally arrived.
Since that day, this President, with his filibuster-proof, Democratic-controlled Congress, have radically pushed through some of the most leftist, radical and totalitarian legislation this side of the former Soviet Union. Within weeks of his first day as President, Obama began appointing avowed communists and declared socialists to various offices that answer only to him. He has created almost 40 “czars,” which have acted more like a shadow government. Obama seems to rely more on the advice of these “czars” than his Cabinet Secretaries, because the appointment of these “czars” are not inconvenienced by pesky little things like being vetted and ratified before the Senate. They wield enormous power, and can influence and even overturn decisions made by members of the Congress or various agencies because of their unlimited access to the President’s ear. Therefore, our lives are intruded upon by bureaucrats whom were not elected by us nor answer to us. Yet they can tell us what we eat, where we live, where we work, what we get paid, how much we will be taxed, etc. We are no longer represented by servants in the government, but are told we must answer to autocratic elitists and bend to their rules. The American Revolution was triggered by far less intrusion on the Colonists than what we are experiencing at the present time.
Obama, with Reid and Pelosi, have gone on a binge of taking over the private sector in the form of unaffordable “stimulus” packages in the trillions of dollars. Using threats against banks and businesses, they have effectively forced any private sector enterprise that took “stimulus” dollars to submit to severe rules and regulations set by his administration and the Democrats in Congress. Banks that did not want to accept the money were practically forced to under coercion and threats. Obama and his Chief-of-Staff, Rahm Emanuel, simply resorted to making these banks “an offer they can’t refuse.” This is also known as “The Chicago Way.” Several institutions that did not want to accept the money in the first place have been trying to pay the government back in full, often without success. Of course, this is not something Obama is happy about, because his intention is to keep all banks under the control of the Federal government by wielding the brass knuckles. If these businesses give, or pay back the money, then Obama loses control over the banking and auto industries. Under the guise of “Federal assistance,” Obama is now targeting the small, local banking industry for further “stimulus” help. Stating that these small institutions did not contribute to the financial fall like the big banks, but suffering all the same, Obama is trying to gain control over the small banks using the same methods by which he took control of the larger financial firms. Who is going to be next?
In order to support these “stimulus” packages, Obama has simply let the Federal Government print paper money to the point where he has endangered its very existence as the premiere international reserve currency. His reckless addition of trillions of printed dollars into circulation, coupled with huge and ever increasing deficits, are the perfect recipe for runaway inflation and devaluation. The Chinese, who now own so much of the U.S. debt in the form of treasury bonds, could simply call in this massive debt, at which point the U.S. economy would default. It would result in our total collapse. Obama knows this, yet he continues to print more bank notes increasing our risk to inflation that could become dangerously out of control. Additionally, he continues to deliberately go against all logic of an open market economy by imposing crushing taxes on all types of businesses, transactions and assets. He actively punishes those who create the jobs and conceive innovation that has traditionally driven our economic engine. His administration’s actions go against everything that any basic college economics course would teach. And yet he continues this approach, which guarantees our financial ruin.
Since he took office, Obama has openly defied our representative republic when he decided to impose cap-and-trade taxes on carbon emissions on all sectors of the American economy. In the name of combating “man-made-global-warming,” Obama wanted to give the radical environmentalists their wish of taking out the U.S. economy by forcing a cap on carbon emissions to businesses, while taxing all sectors that emit more carbon than allowed by the cap set by the Federal Government. With the Copenhagen Climate Summit approaching, Obama wanted to arrive at the meeting of “respected” international scientists and environmentalists with a firm U.S. commitment of reducing our CO2 emissions by 83% by 2050. This would mean bringing emissions down to mid-19th century levels and would most assuredly destroy the U.S. economy in the process.
Copenhagen was supposed to result in an international and binding treaty that would force all signatories to submit to reducing CO2 emission, to be policed by the United Nations. Obama’s strong desire and his attempt to force a situation where he could sign binding treaties that would cede U.S. sovereignty under an unelected, United Nations Global Warming Governance committee would further destroy the U.S. economy because the treaty would require the United States to pay “reparations” to third world nations as punishment for our CO2 emissions. It would be a shakedown of the U.S. taxpayer to transfer U.S. wealth to corrupt, third-world despots. It would also place our economic and environmental laws under control of the United Nations.
Knowing that the Senate, including several Democrats, would not ratify a law to commit national suicide of our economy in the name of “man-made global warming,” Obama simply did an end “run-around” Congress. His solution was to simply order the EPA to declare CO2 as a “dangerous air pollutant” under the Clean Air Act of 1970. In doing this, the Obama administration simply bypassed the required Senate ratification of a “cap-and-trade” bill by imposing regulation of the U.S. economy under a “command-and-control” system of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Essentially, Obama went around the elected representatives of the people and imposed a rule-by-decree on emissions cutbacks. Our economy will suffer as a result of this action and we will all face a “carbon tax” that will go to the “global community.” Again, we will be taxed without representation.
What makes the EPA ruling even more appalling is the fact that it was imposed after the ClimateGate exposure of several thousand emails which puts into severe question whether there is even such a thing as “man-made global warming.” Yet Obama and the radical global warming cult simply dismiss the evidence and tell us not to believe our lying eyes, just pay up and shut-up. He would force us into crippling regulation while ceding American sovereignty on the basis of what is proving to be junk science. Damn the truth, we are still going full steam ahead on this additional destruction of the U.S. economy!
This brings us full-circle to the present situation with the so-called Health Care reform bill. Obama and his cronies are going to pass a bill that will force Americans to have to purchase medical insurance from either private insurers or from a Government-run monstrosity. All businesses will be required to offer health care to employees or will be fined almost 1,000 per employee per year if they do not. And if you do not buy insurance, you will be sent off to prison. However, there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that would force any of us to purchase anything. Yet Pelosi arrogantly responds to a journalist’s question of the Constitutionality of such a requirement by snapping back with “Are you serious?!....Are YOU serious??!” There can be no doubt that such a requirement would prove unconstitutional. However, we have already established that this Congress and this President no longer regard the Constitution as legally binding.
Finally, the radical Obama Democrats have found a way to loophole the language of this bill, which is over-two thousand pages long, to cover unappealing inclusions such as federally-funded abortion-on-demand. Forcing this bill on the American people means that all taxpayers will be funding abortions, whether they want to or not. Too bad if abortion goes against your religious beliefs, because that is another freedom you are gradually losing under these autocrats.
Finally, there can be no doubt that Obama and the Democrats, who will ramrod this socialism bill through on Christmas Eve., will still be able to get their “public option” in the coming year. Several liberals have said that they will be able to “fix” the issue of abortion funding and forcing the public option with addendums to the bill, because the language allows for addendums. Some of these liberal sources openly talk of resorting to reconciliation, a process by which the Democrats would only need 51 votes in the Senate to shut down any debate and simply force these addendums to the bill, sticking it to the American people yet again. There would be no way for the opposition to filibuster the vote, making them powerless to stop the bill from becoming law.
For those of us who could see this man as the radical he truly is, these totalitarian abuses of power are not really surprising. For those who drank the Obama “Kool-Aid” however, it is becoming increasingly clear that they are waking up to a national nightmare with the worst hangover effects possible. In just one year this President has managed to force our country into the direction of a true socialist state. Our only hope at this point is to resist these unconstitutional dictates by an autocratic, out-of-control government by taking control of Congress in the midterm elections.
If Obama, Reid and Pelosi have been able to do this much damage to our country in just 11 ½ months, imagine would they could do to us over the next three years. November 2010 cannot come fast enough.

Great article that pretty much says it all. Though by definition it would be hard to get convictions on treason charges, it is evident to many that this is what's happening on a scale unknown in history. We have people at the top that have indisputably had a hand in the collapse of our financial systems, yet the media which used to pride itself in digging for truth, ignores all transgressions of both violations to the constitution, and existing congressional laws. They flaunt it in our faces, and ignore the voice of the people they have been elected to serve. They deserve hangings at the least.

It's a tragic thing when citizens with little or no concern for their countrymen will distort the truth and mislead people in order to preserve their ability to be selfish and greedy. That is what will kill a country. Socialism, by its very definition, is in the interest of promoting what is good for society, not one greedy, selfish citizen. When one lives in a country where so many people are greedy, self-important and selfish, a country where people don't do what is good for society, but do what is good for themselves, it becomes necessary for someone (like a parent) to force compliance. This isn't about you, it's about everyone. What one should be concerned about is one's own character. Modern politics will seem more deceitful to many when those people support ideas that have more than proven themselves to be failures. Capitalism, Democracy, Socialism...they fail because those who manage them fail, not because the system is flawed. People are the problem, not politics.

Excellent article... now you need to tie it all together. Cap-and-Trade on Carbon Emissions will generate a windfall of tax revenue. This tax revenue is necessary in order to offset the deficit caused not only by social healthcare, but also social education.

The true number of people who want health care but can’t afford it is VERY small. We don’t need a massive govt-run system to provide benefits to a few million people. If they go against their people, they'll no longer be in a position to decide. Therefore, they do what the people want. If it passes, it's because people do want it - just not the people coming here to slam others and create drama while trying to convince people who DO know politics that the majority's against it.
