Katie Couric, Charles Gibson, and Brian Williams--the 3 talking heads of the state-run media (SRM). With all we know about the 3 networks and their cheerleading for Barack Obama, the question becomes, why do people still watch these mouthpieces for the government, knowing full well that they won't get the full force of the opposition to the failed programs of Barack Obama and this Congress?

The latest stark example of the lack of balanced, unbiased reporting occurred on Couric's broadcast last evening as the CBS Evening News did a report on the ObamaCare/PelosiCare/ReidCare bill before Congress.
In this report CBS bought into Senator Reid's lie that the healthcare bill he presented to the Senate 'reduces the deficit' by roughly 130 billion dollars.
That would be wrong. The bill as it is written does not include the physician 'buy-off'--the bribe tactics that are all too familiar in this Congress whereby Senators and Congressmen give money to certain special interests in order to buy their support for terrible legislation.
Couric and company did manage to report that even with the 2 trillion bucks or so that this healthcare plan will actually cost in the end, millions of Americans will still be without health insurance after 10 full years of the program.
I thought the whole point was to make sure that the number of uninsured would be ZERO-ZILCH-NADA.
Couric, of course, isn't alone. Brian Williams physically bowed to the President in the early days of the Administration when he was given the chance to interview Obama at the White House. His employer, NBC News, is owned by General Electric, which has accepted billions in bailout funds it was promised by Obama during the campaign in exchange for its full support of the Obama agenda.
Oh, and of course, GE stands to make multi-billions off of the President's 'green initiatives.'
And then we come to Gibson. His employer, ABC News, decided to do a 'fair and balanced' report on healthcare...uh, mmmm, right out of the White House, broadcasting ALL of its news programs for 24 hours right out of the White House itself, while hoping that most Americans wouldn't notice the incongruity between the setting and a so-called 'fair' report.
ABC actually played the role of the cheerleader for ObamaCare during that 24-hour period.
Thus, we are back to our original question. Why would ANY American wish to get their news from these hyper-biased sources that are entirely agenda-driven rather than fact-driven?
The one silver lining in all of this is that viewership for the 3 network news broadcasts is at an all-time low. Most Americans get their news from the Internet, such as Drudge, and Fox. It can be hoped that this trend will only continue.

Why don't we just start identifying them for what they are? The obama propaganda corps.
