From across America, Tea Party roundup...success!

Pics of Greenville, South Carolina Tea Party on Flickr.

Despite terrible weather in many cases, citizens braved the wind, cold, and rain to exercise their Constitutional right to protest the current direction of the country under Barack Obama and the Democrats.

In St. Louis, over 1500 attended the Tea Party at the famous arch.

In Chicago, between 800 and 1000 braved the bad weather to gather to protest the massive spending of taxpayers' money by the federal government.

Atlanta was the site of another well-attended Tea Party.

Many smaller towns and cities participated in the semi-simultaneous events around the country, such as Shelby, Alabama, Asheville, North Carolina, and Greenville, South Carolina.

Some cities were forced to postpone their Tea Parties due to the fact that initially local organizers had planned their events for several months away.  In an attempt to join in with the rest of the country, however, many moved up the date to Friday.  The sudden change of plans and the short notice given hurt attendance in some areas, and in other areas forced organizers to postpone their events until the dates they had originally set.

Generally speaking, however, the Tea Party U.S.A. was a large success.

For photos and eyewitness reports of the various events around the nation, here are some websites and blogs that will provide you with a good panoramic view of the days' activities.

Obama is eliminating the incentive for people who earn $250,000 or more to make charitable contributions of more than $10,000.This will cripple some childrens hospitals, zoos, humane societies,Red Cross,Salvation Army, hospices, research centers for Cancer and other diseases, missions that provide food, shelter and drug rehab for the homeless, churches, shelters for abused women and children, museums and on and on. How can we stop this catastrophe? We must act fast before he slips this one into his plan to "balance his budget".Everyone will be touched by this horrific bill!Nobody seems to be noticing! PLEASE HELP!

    Typical;
Someone had the bright idea of changing the original date from this summer to this weekend. The short notice change of date is an example of how we Americans can never agree on something. The thought that anyone can arrange a meaningful national protest is less than two weeks is a bit of a joke. This is just the kind of thing that Washington thumbs there nose at. If a true message is to be sent to the capitol, organization and patience will bw needed. Instead of a minor 800 protestors, we could of had millions. Now doing this again seems a bit lame.
Lets try to create a more meaningful message next time.

A few hundred "protestors" for a "Tea Party" in a city of millions? Is that all?

President Obama's popularity is now over 70%. I'd say that these people whining about "socialism" are in the minority.

If the majority agreed with them, we'd be talking about President John McCain and the Republican majority in congress.

    But we aren't. Are we?

These "protestors" are loud. And they're filled with rage. But they're not in power anymore. They had their chance. They failed.

I suggest they let somebody else carry the ball. And they should let them have at least a few years without whining about it. After all, the "Tea Party" people had 20 out of the last 28. And look at the mess they left us with.

    Millions?

    From Wikipedia..
    Population (2006)
    - City 56,002
    - Density 829.4/km2 (2,148.1/sq mi)
    - Urban 302,194
    - Metro 601,986 (2,006 est.)

The original Boston Tea Party was attended by 190 people. Great job with only 4 days notice. The party was held nationwide, not just Greenville. The Revolution has started. Lead, follow, or get out of the way!

Let's see, 1500 people at the arch for your tea-party, and 100,000 at the arch for Obama. It must be hard to maintain the illusion that you're in the majority, but I have to give you an A for effort.

Those 100,000 for obomber don't have jobs, and they were bussed in from all over the country. Only 1500 for the tea party is a good number, considering most Republicans were at work having to support their families and obomber's welfare class.

Tea Party always has that ace in the hole: Fox News and Brietbart ready to smear and destroy someone's lives for your political agenda. Who will they smear next? Have you picked another life to destroy yet?
