The long, dark shadow that has been cast over the U.N.'s Copenhagen conference on climate change just got longer and darker.

Still reeling from the Climategate scandal that has all but totally shot to pieces its major premise that climate change is at a critical level because of human activity, not to mention the boycott by developing nations, the conference was stung yet again today as Al Gore, the champion of the man-made global warming hypothesis, was caught red-handed in 'an inconvenient untruth.'
Gore told the conference today that unless drastic, immediate action is taken to cut back on 'man-made greenhouse gasses,' 75% of the Arctic could be completely ice-free within a mere 5 years.'
This is not really news, however. Gore has been using such scare tactics for several years in an attempt to justify draconian laws that restrict and limit human behavior and free enterprise.
The problem? The statement is NOT TRUE.
How do we know? The very scientist that Gore quotes as the 'source' for his 5-year prediction stated today that he said no such thing and that 'it's unclear to me as to how that figure was arrived at. I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as that.'

Perhaps the most embarrassing part of the Gore misstatement is the fact that his office staff confirms that he was wrong:
Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.
The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming.
At the very time that climate science is suffering from a stunning loss of credibility over the Climategate scandal, it's most vocal and visible proponent, Al Gore, has apparently set the movement back even more with the disclosure today that his figures simply don't add up--and by apparently misinterpreting the words of one of the very climate scientists he uses as a source for his alarming pronouncements.
The stark inconvenient truth is that the entire 'man-made global warming' theory is on life-support, and the next step is to unplug the patient. These bozos schemed and lied to the public and got caught with their pants down.
It's over, guys. Time to hang it up and go home.
Leave science to the real scientists and not to those with a political agenda to advance.

You mean polar ice isn't melting? I thought multi-million degree temps at the earth's core would surely melt all the ice.
Fraudsters... we should have NO pity for them... it is only because they got caught that their scheme is falling apart; otherwise, they would be having a much easier time in fleecing the public/world, obviously. Although, there were a great number of people already against C/T.
This should be over. Not in 6 years.. never again. We should allow free enterprise to exist and all those 'green' and alt energy sources that have been denied funding (minus the insiders investments) should receive all al gore's profits.
Jail is the answer as I thought it was a crime to lie to congress, especially to those whose intent is to create policies. This is NOT the ONLY issue.
Let's all demand answers to all of our questions. No more 'one bill a day' congress. Bills must, we demand, be posted and thoroughly explained in layman's terms well before a vote is even considered. It is the ONLY way.

Oh, great picture btw... I do believe more of these untruths will be racing to publication very shortly as the demise continues. More and more 'misquoted' scientists looking to save face must come forth.
What is more is that he has already been busted for untruths in his book by a number of people.

This Copenhagen Summit has nothing to do with Climate Change or the Environment! It is about countries signing away their Sovereignty, so that they can be under the Communist Dictates of the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund that belongs to the Global Elitists!
The best deal for Canada is no deal and I hope Environment Minister Jim Prentice and Prime Minister Harper, take that attitude seriously as they will find should they come back after having signed away Canada's Sovereignty, or our ability to have a quality lifestyle via draconic Carbon Taxes and Cap and Trade, in this "non -Global Warming Country", that their political careers have ended!
If I were Jim Prentice,I would just tell the truth and state Canadian's do not believe in the Carbon Emission Climate Change and on top of that it has been found - not in a small way that, the Scientific Data has been Severely Comprimised in many various actions, therefore until new true Scientific Data has been delivered

The scientist that Al Gore is citing disavows his claims, but the NYT doesn't think that's part of "All the News That's Fit to Print". Fascinating!
I did a piece on Gore's claim earlier today and cautioned people against believing anything Gore has to say about climate change. he has a proven track record of outright lies and distortions. He does not allow reporters at most of his speeches, and never allows anyone to ask questions or challenge his statements. Why anyone gives him credit for having even an ounce of credibility is beyond me. he is a proven liar and is only in it for the money.

In the past month Gore has been caught with (1) a new book cover showing things which are impossible such as hurricanes rotating the wrong way and Cuba disappearing under the sea, (2) claiming the interior of the Earth is millions of degrees, (3) and now using a single scientist as the basis for proclaiming the impending disappearance of Arctic sea ice, only to find out he even misquoted that single scientist. If the MSM was even remotely interested in "an inconvenient truth" they would investigate Gore and expose all his fraudulent and wild claims. However, because the MSM only wants to perpetuate these fraudulent claims they bury Gore's lies and mistakes as quickly as possible.

Independent scientists are destroying and dismantling the AGW crap daily via science and reference data... unskewed reference data in its real form with no 'adjustments' made [in the wrong direction, I might add].
Wattsupwiththat dot com; climateaudit dot com; thedogatemydata dot com; and cheifio dot wordpress dot com all have excellent posts tearing the AGW apart (some for years and you can see the actual progression). These aren't just bag-boys, they are scientists, mathematicians etc.
All climatologists are, are just that, a compilation of fields working together (LOL) for a cause... just that the IPCC, like ALL UN programs, chooses those that think alike and have something to gain, often via investment, but certainly in other ways.
Check out the sites, because if that doesn't convince one.. well. Further, real dissent is welcome on those sites so long as you present your case with facts and appear to have some knowledge of your argument.
