Over a hundred protesters showed up at Concord Mills Mall in support of business owner Loren Spivack. A few weeks ago Spivack was told by Concord Mills Mall that his lease was not to be renewed because his business, Free Market Warrior, did not follow their ‘Neutrality Policy.’
Read a previous post about it here: www.examiner.com/x-10028-Charlotte-Conservative-Examiner~y2009m7d11-Concord-Mills-Mall-stands-against-free-speech-cost-jobs
Protesters carried signs that urged shoppers to boycott the mall while they shouted “support free speech” and “opinions are not offensive, opinions are American.”
Several news groups covered the event which got a lot of attention from passers-by. Drivers honked their horns and gave thumbs up out of their windows in support of the protestors’ cause.
This story has been made known nationally through the promotion of Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and the Drudge Report. Shirts and other merchandise that say "Boycott Simon Malls" and other simalar messages are now available on the internet.
During the protest, the owner of Simon Property Group, Mel Simon, called Spivack. Details on the phone call and what it means for Free Market Warriors will soon be followed by the Charlotte Conservative Examiner.
Stay tuned.

Yep, meet Mo next Friday in Concord at the Free Market Warrior Kiosk,if you can find Mo amongst the thousands of others there to make this the best day of the life of Free Market Warrior. How? By spending money at the Free Market Warrior Kiosk and no where else at the mall! Rub it in thoroughly by bringing your own food and drink and eating it at the food court. Sure, they may ask you to leave, but just be polite and leave. Mo will be the man woman child space alien with the "MO" hat and shirt. Mo will be at the food court at 1:30PM. Be there with your own "Mo" shirt to make it interesting. Most of all, spend a few bucks at the Free Market Warrior Kiosk. JenniferIbanez is invited to be guest of honor since she made the place world famous and deserves the credit for doing just that.

Is there no respect for the freedom of speech of your fellow citizens, has all the values that is country stands for wiped away by the "minority rear end kissing" culture?
Thanks for covering this. I was at the protest and am in one of your photos.
The Concord Mills Mall is one of the most ironically named malls in America. Because of places like the CMM there are no more mills in Concord or in the area. I doubt even 1% of what is sold in the mall is made in USA. But then again, I guess that is what being a free market warrior is all about.
I went to w w w dot simon dot com and wrote this:
I am appalled to learn of your recent decision to not renew a kiosk owners lease in one of your North Carolina malls. It is a sad day in America when a person cannot protest his government. Whether it is a formal or informal approach, you should still have the right. I dont want to go into a bunch of political bias, but if this was a liberal poking fun at conservatives, this would not even be an issue.
I want you to understand that if you do not change your position on this matter, I will invoke my right as a consumer and make it a priority to shop in non-Simon stores. I will also make it a point to let my family and friends aware of your decision. Please reconsider your poor decision.
do all of you protesters not THINK before you go fighting for an owner of a kiosk?!?!?!?
You are affecting innocent ppl who work at that mall trying to make a living.
College students trying to pay for college, highschool students trying to save for college, people who were laid off that found something to support their families.
Not only that you are putting protest signs in areas THAT DON'T BELONG TO SIMON MALLS WHATSOEVER!!!
If this owner wants to sell anti whatever material, then he needs to go open his own STORE on his own LAND.
Wake up America, nothing is free, so stop punishing those of us who are ACTUALLY WORKING AND NOT WASTING OUR TIME
