Kevin Jennings was appointed last week by President Obama to be Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools inside the Department of Education. Secretary Jennings is an openly gay writer, teacher, and leader in the fields of K-12 education and civil rights. While many Americans may not be concerned about his homosexuality, we should be very interested in his gay activist past.
After graduating from Harvard in 1985 Jennings “became the faculty advisor to the nation’s first gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)… launching his life on a path dedicated to ensuring schools become places where young people learn to value and respect everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.” In 1990 Jennings founded the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (www.GLSEN.org). Your new “Safe Schools Czar” believes “homophobia and heterosexism undermine a healthy school climate” and he wants to “educate teachers, students and the public at large about the damaging effects these forces have on youth and adults alike.” (All quotes from the GLSEN website www.GLSEN.org of 14 June 2009)
In his new position, Jennings he will be charged with:
- Promoting the health and well being of students in elementary and secondary schools, and institutions of higher education;
- Suggesting policies related to violence and drug prevention;
- Advising the Education Secretary on the formulation of comprehensive school health education policy; and
- Administering the Department's programs relating to character and civics education.
Given his background and passion for the advancement of homosexual rights throughout our culture this new position will be a perfect platform to cultivate his ideas in the minds of our children. While not a new strategy for the progressive movement, the appointment of a gay activist to such a strategic and well-funded position offers tremendous expansion possibilities for the homosexual agenda (gay marriage, et al). What the majority of voters in California and 41 other states adopted to prevent the legalization of gay marriages and unions may soon be overturned by your children after they are indoctrinated in the public school system.
Parents do you know which village is raising your children?
With Mr. Jennings at the helm, the table is set, mom and dad, for your children to be indoctrinated into a Progressive agenda of homosexual civil rights. If you are not on your guard, everything that you have poured into your children will be watered down and potentially eliminated if the Jennings’ GLSEN agenda permeates the classroom. If the past forty-five years of negatively influencing two generations of young minds is any indication of what federal schooling can accomplish, your children and our society will continue to spiral into moral depravity. What was once considered as an adult sexual deviance just a generation or so ago will soon be an acceptable form of sexual expression to your seventh and eighth grader if the education establishment has their way!
May we all WAKE UP before we lose our children and our country!

Wake up and realize that gay people are no threat to you OR your children. The conservative movement is losing members and direction, and can not be a force for positive change for our country until it stops this hysterical fear invoking rhetoric. We know that states that allow gay marriage also have the lowest rates for divorce in the country. We know that states that are deemed "red states" have the highest on-line spending for pornography. and we know that gay teens attempt suicide at rates 30% higher than their straight counterparts. That he started the first gay-straight alliance should be seen as a positive thing for Education. but you demonstrate a total ignorance as to what a gay-straight alliance does or is about. that homosexuality has been deemed legal and therefore homosexuals are given equal protection for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as compared with heterosexuals. this means they are to live free of any procelitized religous ideas that would in any way denigate them. (congress will make no laws that support any religion)
and i say this to you as one who also is a believer. that any beliefs that do not celebrate, support, and affirm homosexuality in the same way that we do heterosexuality have nothing to do with the new covenant of christ or the spirit of christ.

This Amendment was to prevent any particular religion from becoming the established religion of the United States. Not at all what John r implies.

I don't know where you get this, John. There is no evidence in Scripture or in the practice of Christians in 2,000 years that approves of homosexual acts which quite clearly are contrary to the biological imperatives of our species. God has nothing to do with any of that.

As a straight person who has worked with GLSEN for more than 10 years I can assure your poor readers that you could not be more confused and full of misinformation. Sadly, you are full of even more hate. This is a subject you should avoid writing about further because you are free of facts. I pity any children you might be raising or have any sort of influence on, considering your incredible approach. Based on the quotes you pulled from GLSEN's excellent website one is left to assume that you believe homophobia leads to a healthy school environment. Ed, what a foolish post, full of invective and saying realy nothing of substance. Re-read what you wrote and find even one substantiated fact. Moreover "homophobia" is a political construct to deprecate people who oppose extending to homosexuality societal and cultural recognition. It is impossible to show how same sex makes any sense biologically.
By nature and not by disfunction, homosexual acts are devoid of fecundity. Clearly sodomy is an unhealthy practice without sense or reason. To insert the male generative organ into another male's intestine speaks volumns. Pleasure yes. But because something gives pleasure that something is not validated. Homoseuality is intrinsically evil, lacking in the good that anatomically is demanded by the physical composition of our species in to the two sexes, male and female. Because there are abberrations, it doesn't follow that they should be encouraged.
The "queen" mentality, the "gay" manner of those in support of homosexuality is laden with superficiality, effeminancy among men and masculinity among women; posing and opportunistic. Are there relatively sane persons who are active homosexuals? Yes. I have known a few. But most, in my experience, are arrested emotionally, sexually, socially, morally, philosophically, spiritually, intellectually. Though many succeed extraordinarily in some fields of endeavor, the bottom line of their contributions is most often in support of a ruinous social and cultural order. There is a fundamental lack of love in those who have given themselves over to the vice of homosexuality. What they call love is finally the satisfaction of their lusts. Some choose a way of melodrama and exploits for their arcane satisfaction the operatic note of tragedy in their lives, giving themselves over to this homosexual cause or that homosexual cause. This to them passes as life from Stonewall to the AIDS Quilt.
As Believers becomes more and more aware of what is transpiring as people like Kevin Jennings and Frank Lombard rape the minds and bodies of children they are being accused of "bearing false witness". Teaching sex moves to children is pedophilia. Like it or not Thomas that is the truth. The propaganda of spreading hate against Believers for opting out of diversity programs that lead to incidences like "fistgate" in the schools of our children will not be dealt with lightly. There is no "Gay Agenda" as you wish to call it. The only thing they ask is for equal rights. Are they not human beings? I thought America was founded on freedom to express themselves as they are. We went through this with the women's rights to vote, desegregating blacks, eliminating slaves, etc. No harm was done in giving them equal protection under the law. These same equal protection should be given to homosexuals as well. If they want to marry, so be it. If they want to raise children, so be it. If they want to see their loved ones in the hospital, so be it. They are not forcing anything on the "straights" but rather they are crying for equal protection under the law.

On the subject of GLSEN, i think their motives are fine. If you want to have peace between Homosexual and Heterosexual people, its a great goal. I do feel though that how they are going about it is somewhat wrong. To make children learn about homosexual people is not at all wrong, but to force it can be. If the school was to be completely objective and teach different views on the subject then I think it should be allowed.
Im not one for "ITS THE END OF OUR CHILDREN'S MINDS" but, i do feel if they want to do this they should show each side equally. Otherwise Christians like myself wouldn't feel safe to let my children, future in my case, got to a public school. There also relies a responsibility with the parents of said child to instill the values on this subject. Religious or not, pro gay or not.
