This past week, leaders including Pope Benedict XVI and Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi met to discuss the burgeoning world hunger crisis. According to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) "one billion people are suffering from chronic malnutrition, with 20 million starving people in East Africa (and) in need of emergency food aid." After the customary speeches and photo opportunities, the leaders left with no agreements and no money obligated. Said UN leader Ban Ki Moon, "The world has more than enough food, yet today more than one billion people are hungry. This is unacceptable." According to the London Telegraph, Moon said the world could not achieve food security without tackling global warming, noting the link between the World Food Summit and the Copenhagen summit on climate change next month. “Food security and climate change are deeply interconnected,” he said. “Agricultural land is drying up.” He said that if the glaciers of the Himalayas melted this would affect the livelihoods of up to a billion people throughout Asia, while African farmers could see their harvests drop by 50 per cent over the next ten years. “The food crisis of today is a wake-up call for tomorrow.”

I found that particular comment by Secretary Moon very interesting. If the world has so much food then how does so-called global climate change factor in getting food to the people who need it. To me this sounds more of a logistics problem than a climate problem. If the earth is capable of providing enough food to the world, how does climate change factor in? Will climate change policies result in even more food that will be improperly distributed by the greedy overlords who are keeping the UN food from reaching the needy? I think not!

Moon's state in fact is very telling that the UN wants climate change legislation to levy taxes upon the entire world so to line the coffers of the likes of the corrupt UN bureaucrats who would take it for their own gain at the expense of the people they represent who are starving. And why the Pope, does he represent the Church (that is Christians worldwide)? I think not!

No I believe Pope Benedict is part of the money and power grab. He does not want to be left out in the cold when the end game of world government is put n place. He wants the Catholic Church to be the leader of religion in the world at the expense of those who get in his way. The Catholic Church has operated this way since it was established, carrying through the persecution of Christians and Jews during the Roman Empire, Muslims during the Crusades and again the Jews during the reign of Hitler ( a Catholic who was not "excommunicated") in World War II.

The picture of the Pope and his staff chilled me as I read the Telegraph story and considered Revelation Chapter 17. "Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written on her forehead:
"MYSTERY
BABYLON THE GREAT
THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus."
(Rev 17:3-6)

Numerous commentaries and a well researched book by Dave Hunt identify the woman riding the beast as a symbol of the Catholic church. While I am of that view based on my study of scripture, I suggest the reader do his own research and decide. However, the more I watch world events unfold and reflect on church history, the more my view points to this symbolism of the Catholic church, wedded to the world in the end times.

Throughout history where there has been a power center, there was the Catholic church. Every photo-op or world issue that appears, one doesn't need to look far to see Vatican representation. While I agree with its positions on the sanctity of life, the Catholic Church does not represent many who profess to be bible-believing Christians. In fact, many of their mandates are in fact deceptive and biblically incorrect.

Jesus and His disciples warned of deception and division in the last days. "...and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people," Jesus warned in Matthew 23:11. The Apostle John also warns, "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world— the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does— comes not from the Father but from the world." ( 1 John 2:15-16) Finally again Jesus prophesied, "Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three." (Luke 12:51-52)

Jesus came for one reason to save mankind from our sins. He did not come to establish religion in fact he came against it. Jesus wants all to come to faith in Him and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to tell the good news of his death and resurrection to others. He did not come to bring world peace or even solve world hunger and especially not to enrich the clergy of the Catholic Church. He came to gather His Church (those who believe that Jesus is Lord and that he died to wash the sins of mankind away). The Pope joining with the world system is the antithesis of what scripture says is true. All scripture points to Jesus and nothing else. The marriage of the church to the world represents therefore the prostitution of God's truth and why I believe the Woman (Catholic Church) riding the Beast (Satan) represents the marriage of the church (small "c") to the pagan world. And why I also believe those who are following the leadership of the pagan clergy will be deceived into hell in the last days.

The future is playing out before our eyes, keep your head up and if you do not know Jesus as Lord and Saviour, please acknowledge your sinfulness, accept His sacrifice by faith, repent from your sin and ask Him to enter your heart and begin a brand new life in Christ from now and into eternity!

Have you ever noticed that people are only starving in totalitarian regimes? There is not a shortage of food, there is a shortage of freedom. Those who want to manipulate others into action over the fictional climate change in order to line their coffers are not going to share anything with these people. They are merely useful tools for wringing dollars out of guilt-ridden people in free societies.

To Piggyback on with Jesse, why are there totalitarian regimes that seem to go on forever? The answer is a lack of signs and wonders like Peter, John, and James wanted to take out herod and their oppressors. This generation has lost the practice of spiritual warfare. With out this knowledge and will to fight the war we get tyranny, abortion, gay marriage, prayer taken out of the schools. What does the church say "pray for those evil people so they come to the savior." The church has to start praying like David did, He wanted God to smash their teeth in. He wanted to purge the evil. I have yet to hear someone pray that Fidel Castro be taken out, or Kim in N.Korea has fire called down on them, or the Obama be taken out of the way. No the prayers are always for that person, maybe helping them to stay in power(my own thought). The first problem is the church leadership more concerned with a huge church with plenty of tithers. It is disgusting the spirit of mammon in our churchs.

The reason the catholic church didn't excommunicate hitler goes far beyond their involvement with him and his party, and the fact he was a baptised catholic who often spoke about God and Providence.

It is not because excommunicating him would have only been symbolic. Anyone who knows anything about the church realizes that all of it is symbolic - their prayers, rituals, etc.

They didn't excommunicate hitler because if they had, they would have had to excommunicate the church. Because it was the catholic church that gave the western world the hatred of the Jews, Jesus own people. They were the christ-killers, they drank the blood of infants, etc.

So to excommunicate hitler, they would have had to excommunicate the church.

Every good Catholic who believes in Jesus' central message - that of God's love for all His Creation, should break free of this church.
Which murdered Muslims, Jews, reformer priests, and gave the world the 1000 year dark ages of zero progress.
