David put his whole heart into this very personal performance and showed us every emotion he was feeling. David hasn't performed "Anodyne" in concert for quite a while now. This one night in Conway we were privileged to look deep into the beautiful soul of this beautiful man.

It's interesting watching those are see the different emotions. An Anodyne performance is so different than a Kiss On The Neck performance. One almost has to wonder if it's even the same guy. But he does it well.
Still have to watch some of those videos. It won't be easy chosing.
It is hard to not choose "A Daily Anthem" from Manila. Hearing that many fans sing at the top of their lungs along with David to a song that is 100% his, written pre-Idol...yeah, pinch me moment right there.

So very hard to choose. These were all great videos. I would personally add a few more. The hot and angry Til I'm Blue from Tulsa. Wow. Maybe Always Be My Baby from Northampton. AI performance of Permanent, maybe. Of those listed, I was actually at Conway and LOVED that performance of Anodyne. Very epic. But I think the performance that gets to me the most is the Silver performance. After selling just over 1,000 cds of AH in 2006 now a couple of years later, he has a crowd requesting those songs. Not only that but the entire crowd singing along loudly had to have been a VERY emotional and memorable moment for him. I loved it and wish I had been there. All the versions of A Daily Anthem are moving for the same reasons. Thank goodness for all these wonderful youtube videos. Yep, my vote is for #20 Silver.
I had to go with A Daily AntheM as it was my first David experience. I flew over 2000 miles to see him for the first time, so it's kinda sentimental <3

So hard to choose...everyone of these is great for different reasons. But I've gotta give my vote to "Silver", for much the same reasons that Connie gave above. I was lucky enough to be there, up close, and it was an awesome moment!
I think my favorite performance was "Anodyne" in Conway. It was breathtaking. I don't understand why he doesn't perform it anymore. My other favorites would be "I Did it For You" from Knoxville, "Lie" from Mitchell, "A Daily Anthem" in Manila (that was epic!) and "Silver" (another beautiful song that he should perform more). This is hard! I'm surprised no one posted his impromptu performance of "The Truth" or "The World I Know" or his "Man in the Box" cover.

Best performance....I was front and center at the Fargo concert when he performed "Mr.Sensitive"...OMG it was the absolute best ever.

I know that Anodyne is a favorite among long-time Cook/MWK fans. But for NEW fans, since there's no recording of Cook performing Anodyne to purchase, it's not as good a thing for big concerts. There have been many amazing moments on this tour -- my favs based on YT vids include the Archie shirt banter at the Ohio State Fair, Lie at many venues, and KOTN at many more. BUT, for #1 best moment captured on video, it has to be Permanent at Oxford, MS. No one can watch this vid and not be moved.

Anodyne/Conway touches my soul in a way no other performer ever has. I have watched each of these vids hundred's of times and will forever!!! I miss them both on the tour so glad I have these to "Cherish" forever! The diversity here shows the incredible talent of this Beautiful man!!

I love them all... really, how do you choose? However, I voted for Silver. I think this song is beautiful live and I would love to hear the entire thing. I love how the audience knew all the words and it was impromptu and never done before (or after) on the Declaration tour.

There have been many memorable moments from this tour, but I have to say that Anodyne from Conway is my favorite, and the video I keep coming back to. David's hauntingly beautiful interpretation touches my soul.

The fact that he performed for the troops over seas stands out in my mind since I have a 20 year old son in the ARmy. The respect that he has for the military earns my praise. that is why I picked the USO tour although they all were outstanding. He has such a great heart and gentle spirit.
eventhough i'm not in his concert here in manila, i really love the A Daily Anthem Version in Manila., its true.. DC made us cry, he's so emtional..
I think the reworking of I Did It For You is so astounding, it has now become a concert favorite for me. But then there's Lie with the acapella part. Honestly all of these are favorites. Great list. My ipod is filling up with new favorites after each concert. lol.

This is so hard because every song is special. Lie, Silver, Permanent just touch me. I wish he would sing Silver in concert. I love it when he and Andy sing together. Mske Me sounds so good when they do it. Then Neal's guitar solos are always so good when they rock it out. How do you choose. I love Anodyne and what it means. Then there are the rest of the songs, so unique and special in their own way. Can't I just vote for them all? There is not one bad song that he sings and his band makes him sound better live than the record.
So tremendously hard-love all of them.

Adam in Manila. It was emotional, I was teary eyed while singing and waving my hands. It was prolly the best moment on that concert. Until now while I think about it, I still get goosebumps.

As to David, "Anodyne" in conway is exquisite. It's hard to pick a favorite from this list, I love them all.

How do I choose from so many special moments? Lie, Permanent, Anodyne, Kiss On The Neck, I Did It For You, ADAM, the partial Silver, and really just all of them; there are just way too many favorites to have to choose just one from. I have to go with Permanent this go around though, just because of the emotion involved with this performance. Tomorrow I will probably have a different opinion. Great job on the poll.

I love David Cook and I think he puts on an amazing concert. I have been to MANY. I'm curious as to why you chose the ones you did? I would have chosen other ones so Im not too am surprised at the results. I love when he sings/performs Lie, Barbasol, and Kiss on the neck.
