In a world that loves the underdog, the story of Susan Boyle was almost too perfect for it not to garner the attention of millions of people across the world. The story of an angelic voice coming out of a less than angelic-looking source on "Britain's Got Talent" seemed to not only shock, but also give hope to those that consider themselves underdogs.
Popular radio show, Opie & Anthony may have discovered their very own rough version of Susan Boyle on their show today.
This year marks the return of their infamous "Homeless Shopping Spree", where the two radio personalities send a group of New York City homeless individuals, accompanied by comedians that regularly appear on the show, to an upscale mall in New Jersey. The homeless individuals are given a set amount of money by the show, but the fans that come and support the event end up donating to the participants as well.
Over the past month or so, Opie & Anthony have been bringing in those that will be participating in this year's Homeless Shopping Spree, the first one since 2006. The purpose of the preliminary meeting is so that the hosts, along with the listeners, can get to know the participants before the actual event occurs.
Today, the radio hosts had two participants from the Homeless Shopping Spree in studio. One of the individuals, a man named Mustard, was given a guitar upon his request. He asked to perform a song, so the hosts set him up with a microphone as well.
Mustard began playing the guitar very cleanly. When host, Opie asked "What are you gonna do?", Mustard simply replied "You'll recognize this". Mustard then began singing a very heartfelt version of Radiohead's 1992 hit, "Creep".
The performance lasted just over 3 minutes, and afterward the hosts were quick to praise him. "That's the best interpretation of that song I've heard, besides Radiohead" Opie said.
The Opie & Anthony show airs from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday on Sirius 197/XM 202. The 2009 Tippy Tom Memorial Homeless Shopping Spree will take place the afternoon of December 17th at an as of yet unannounced mall in New Jersey.

That was so f...... special.
Opie said that was the best version he has ever heard other than "Radiohead" not the radio. Get your quotes right.
And Mustard absolutely kicked ass.
