Mondays are usually seen by most people as being of the devil. It’s the start of a new work week and the sometimes painful recovery of a fun weekend. However this Monday laughed in the face of all that and decided that the weekend wasn’t quite over yet.
House of Blues was packed last night when Our Lady Peace (supported by Electric Touch) kept the weekend going with an amazing show. I arrived about two songs into Electric Touch’s set and was sad that a majority of the crowd didn’t seem to showing any love. The band from Austin should have gotten more from the crowd in my opinion. They put on a great show and I thoroughly enjoyed them as did a group of three guys near me who were rockin’ out. Pictures, sadly, didn’t come out all that great as they favored the red and blue lights. Bands take note, if you want good pictures give decent lighting in the first 3 songs. That’s all us photographers ask of you.
The crowd literally doubled about fifteen minutes before Our Lady Peace took the stage and if you hadn’t paid attention to the calendar you’d have thought it was a Saturday night. While the crowd may have been lack luster for Electric Touch they were the exact opposite for Our Lady Peace and it was clear Dallas was glad to have the Canadians back in town. With a mix of old stuff and songs off their new album Burn Burn they rock House of Blues and proved that Mondays can be just as good as the weekend.

Sounds like a good time!
I was in the crowd and Our Lady Peace was amazing. However, Electric Touch was a huge disappointment. Each song had the exact same beat and the lyrics were repeated over and over. I kind of liked their first two songs, but after that, I felt I had already heard it. If this had been a Saturday night and I was drinking, I probably would have enjoyed them more. But, I was sober and genuinely listening. Eletric Touch was not good.
I thought the whole experience was phenomenal (including Electric Touch). I travelled from Idaho just for the show and had the time of my life. It was worth every step of the journey to get there. Meeting Steve and Raine was just the cherry on top. You guys rock!
This was my 4th time seeing Our Lady Peace and I have to say that this was the best one. This show was amazing. They came out firing and their sound was terrific. I hope these guys don't go away for another 5 years.
