While rumors swirling late last week suggested Aerosmith http://www.aerosmith.com might be parting ways, the latest reports from frontman Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry confirm that the band is not breaking up.
Tyler said that he is "not leaving Aerosmith" as he made a surprise appearance with guitarist Joe Perry and his band Tuesday night, November 10 at Irving Plaza in New York City. Tyler made the remark to the crowd prior to performing “Walk This Way.”
The appearance followed a few days of speculation from fans and confusion over band member remarks via twitter and a several other places online.
Aerosmith recently performed in October in Abu Dhabi after canceling a North American tour with ZZ Top following Tyler’s fall from the stage in Sturgis, South Dakota on August 5. The band has started recording a new album, the group’s first project since 2004’s “Honkin' on Bobo.” Tyler is also slated to publish a biography, which is due out in 2010.
