After wrapping up a sold-out stadium tour of Europe, multi-platinum rock band Green Day will hit the road next week for a series of North American tour dates, including an August 7th stopover at this year’s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. This is the second leg of the band’s U.S. tour in support of their Grammy Award winning album 21st Century Breakdown. Please see below for all tour dates.
Released by Reprise Records on May 15th, 2009, the band’s current album, 21st Century Breakdown debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts. The album has spawned two hit singles, “Know Your Enemy,” which has been certified gold, and the platinum-selling “21 Guns,” whose video won three 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, including “Best Rock Video.” The band took home their second American Music Award for “Favorite Alternative Music Artist” in November. Green Day Rock Band has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Best Video Game.

Green Day, which is comprised of singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool, will perform the band’s new single, “Last of the American Girls,” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Friday, July 30th.
