Walking in Sherlock’s on Westheimer at 9pm last Friday night, I really wasn’t expecting the dance floor to be hopping, but it was and it continued to stay packed all night. The Space Rockers were in town. All the way from that little planet called Austin, TX. They were teleported in their spaceship for a night of big time fun in Houston.

Joining forces to fight intergalactic crime, five of the universe’s most famous superheroes travelled through space on their ship until one day they received a distress call.

Earth has lost its groove!

The Space Rockers are Captain Cosmos, Stinger, Probe, Thunder Stick and Neuron. More than a band, this group is a bunch of hams! I meant “entertainers”. The interaction with the crowd and synchronized dances to the best covers make them an obvious “BLAST” to watch. Their performance really was “OUT OF THIS WORLD”. You could wiggle “URANUS” to the music and it was an immense pleasure… I loved how they would switch the lead vocals and swap instruments at a moment's notice to really prove that there was a whole lot of talent under the spandex! They certainly raised the bar on the term "energetic" too.

The superheroes agreed that these strange beings were in dire need of rescue. They decided to heed the call and bring their brand of superhero dance rock to the planet. The Space Rockers mission……
Make earthlings dance and bring groove to the planet.

Sometimes, as humans, we forget what fun is and we don’t realize the need to be rescued… but I can tell you that everyone at Sherlock’s that night were thankful we found our groove again. Thank you to The Space Rockers!

The immigration law doesn’t include outer space aliens yet, so mark your calendars for August 20^th. The Space Rockers will be at Sherlock’s again and it will get hot on the dance floor once again. The “MERCURY” will shoot right out of the thermometer! It will be a “STELLAR” time… Ok, I’ll quit – just be there!
