Some video games are less risque
In a new curve on pc game sales, the new game from Pandemic Studio called Saboteur will offer nudity for extra money. Players can unlock a code by purchasing points with cash and then see in game nudity with certain characters.
This is probably one of the first times that a publisher or developer has intentionally placed a script for nudity in a gaming product and then selling the code to unlock the script. Unlike other games such as GTA San Andreas which had a undisclosed nudity code, this is one is being marketed for the adult audience. This new novel approach of selling a game's features may or may not take off as it is sure to bring controversy. PC and console games already have to deal with increased ire from politicians and this latest development will probably spur on some more calls for a game restriction programs for younger players.
Apparently those that are interested have to buy the game new in order to use the new option. EA will be distributing the game and it is slated to be released on December 8. Time will only tell how gamers and non gamers react to this new marketing ploy.
