Some of the funniest Super Bowl commercials come from Doritos®. With this in mind, the brand (owned by Frito Lay) has held its annual Crash The Superbowl contest, in which just about anyone and everyone could shoot a Doritos® commercial and submit it. The six finalists won $25,000 each, and the general public voted for their favorites among those six, which will narrow it down to the three to be shown on Super Bowl Sunday. If a Doritos® ad wins the top spot on the USA Today Ad Meter, as one did last year, the commercial’s creator wins another $1,000,000.
The voting ended on January 31, but that won’t stop us from taking a look. The best of the bunch, as determined by your humble Commercials Examiner, is this one:
