More oddball Xmas humor- this time from 'Arctic Circle'

Who needs to grant Xmas wishes when you can just eat the kids doing the wishing? (Seattlepi.com)

And the hits just keep on coming!

Yesterday, "Heathcliff" sported a terrible stab at holiday humor by linking the popular cat's penchant for bleching to Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life." Now, "Arctic Circle" uses a touch of the macabre to enliven a strip that touches the funny bone for all the wrong reasons.

It it my imagination, or is our friendly pal Frank, the polar bear above, admitting that he played Santa Claus at the local retail outlet because he got to eat the children who sat in his lap (he calls them "snacks")? Yuk! Who knew you could mix the joy of Xmas with the sick humor of Edward Gorey or "Lemony Snicket"?

A tip of the hat to cartoonist Alex Hallatt for this delightfully offbeat strip that confounds expectations. When's the last time you saw cute n' cuddly cartoon animals admitting to indulging in their predatory routine?
