Gerald Parel's art for Marvel's "top secret" Jonathan Hickman project
Jonathan Hickman, the man who is creating quite a buzz with his current run on Fantastic Four and who constantly delivers the goods with Secret Warriors, is writing a "top secret" project for the House of Mouse Ideas. In fact, this project was so "top secret" that no one even heard about it until now when Marvel announced that they would announce the details on the Fresh Ink segment of tonight's Attack of the Show on G4TV.
To tease fans for half a day until the announcement is made, Marvel released this image by Gerald Parel and the following description:
"They've been around since the dawn of time....how do they impact the past, present and future of the Marvel Universe?"
While this effort to create a lot of buzz in a short amount of time over this "top secret project" seems very Stan Lee-ish to me, I am still intrigued, if only because Fresh Ink host Blair Butler is so excited about it. Said theblairbutler on twitter last night:
"Tomorrow, on Attack of the Show, we're revealing some exclusive comic book news on Fresh Ink that makes my nerdy heart sing. Here's a hint: One of my favorite writers is involved...and the concept made me clap my little hands together with geeky joy..."
Her geeky joy tends to coincide with mine 99% of the time. Plus, Hickman has impressed the heck out of me so far, so my TV will definitely be tuned to ATOS on G4 tonight at 7pm. Your's should be too.
