Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool in
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Ryan Reynolds seems like he's working toward becomming the face of comic book movies. Having already played Hannibal King in Blade Trinity and Wade Wilson/Deadpool in X-men Origins: Wolverine, he is also slated to don the emerald tights as The Green Lantern for DC and Warner Bros. while also breaking the fourth wall as the Merc With a Mouth in the Deadpool spinoff for Marvel and Fox.
Well, Mr. Hal Wilson, or Wade Jordan, himself will be appearing tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Though he's mainly there to promote his hosting duties for this weeks episode of Saturday Night Live, during the taping earlier today, Mr. Reynolds gave shoutouts to both Green Lantern and Deadpool.

Mike Shoemaker, a producer on Late Night, tweeted to both Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld and current GL scribe Geoff Johns that:
"Ry-Ren gave a Deadpool shoutout AND a Green Lantern shoutout!"
And, when Johns wondered aloud (for all of the internet to read) if Reynolds knew the famous Green Lantern Oath, Shoemaker tweeted back:
" I just went in Ryan Reynolds dressing and tested him on the GL oath. He nailed it!"
Sounds like perhaps these two beloved franchises are in good hands. Tune into Late Night tonight on NBC at 12:35am to see what Ryan Reynolds says about the two upcoming productions.
