New Moon failed to beat The Dark Knight's weekend record
Fanboys can finally release the breath they've been holding all weekend. The combined powers of Edward, Jacob, and Bella combined weren't enough to topple the weekend box office records set by Batman and Spider-Man.
While The Twilight Saga: New Moon did shatter The Dark Knight's midnight and single day record, the tweener vampire flick only brought in an estimated $140.7 million for it's three day total.
This number pales in comparison to The Dark Knight's $158 million, and even fell a considerable distance behind Spider-Man 3's second place, $151.1 million.
But, we all know that there are two more of these sparkly vampire movies coming and both are sure to continue New Moon's record setting trend. So, please keep that in mind when Iron Man 2 bows next year. Buy two tickets and use the extra seat as buffer space. It'll be a win/win for everyone.

How can they post how much a movie made before any tickets were sold on Sunday? The $140 million is an estimate. All the shows for 'New Moon' were selling out at the multiplex I went to Sunday. I was hoping to avoid crowds, but that wasn't the case.
The answer I got to that question was that Sunday could be estimated and those estimates were usually correct. But the actual numbers will be out sometime Monday and I think they could be wrong in this case because I know many who were going to see the film on Sunday for the 2nd and 3rd time. I think they should wait on this one they might be surprised.
The third book Eclipse is the best book and a fandom favorite and if it lives up to the book YOU COULD SEE ECLIPSE BREAKING MORE RECORDS !!
People need to calm down because New Moon isn't that bad !!!

i think new moon is alrite but the books are way better in the flim everything happens to fast and they left out half of it!
The movie was amazing. I think the guy who wrote this article has sum serious problem wid the twilight series, me n my frnds loved it. The book was little boring tho, but in the moviw, there was more action and new moon is not really an action movie so u cant expect for them to change the movie frm the book, But the director tried their best. The movie was AMAZING, i think it beat all the films. Thank you
The book is way way better than the film, and the third and 4th buk, eclipse and breaking dawn r really gud. I really hope the directors dont make thousands of changes in the movi like they did in new moon and twilight and show all the scenes correctly, they changed so much, i was really annoyed, forst i thought i am watching the wrong movie...yeesh!
