What should America get for her birthday?  Marvel Comics gave her it's hero back.  Captain America: Reborn #1 hit the streets on July 1st, 2009.

When we last saw Steve Rogers, he was being led up court house steps, to his arraignment as a terrorist.  It was on those courthouse steps that america had lost its hero.  But alas Capain America is alive.  Some could say he lived on through others but noone could replace Steve Rogers, he embodied the role of America's super soldier.

Marvel released four covers for the mega-hyped issue.  The artists were Bryan Hitch, Joe Quesada, Alex Ross and John Cassaday.

To help readers get caught up Marvel put out a digital comic entitled Reborn: Prelude.  Its available to read online now for free.
