ColorStruck originated in 2000 as a bold and unique line up at the Comedy Studio in Harvard Square.

The very first performance sold out, forcing the club to turn away as many as they let in. The show called the Jimmy Tingle Theatre home from 2003 until it’s close in 2007. Over the years the show has evolved from a funfilled showcase of local talent, to a wonderfully hilarious representation of the talented, professional ladies of comedy making audiences laugh all over the country, as well as the unique new voices we discover in our travels.

Comments JTOB owner and political satirist Jimmy Tingle, "We're thrilled to have them here– it's always a highlight of the summer that we look forward to every year."

This April, the charismatic comediennes of ColorStruck are back at Tommy’s Comedy Lounge with their trademark brand of smart, sassy, and scintillating standup, representing a smorgasbord of ethnicities: Comedy Central’s Funaticos Bethany Van Delft, Emmy Award winning Deb Farrar-Parkman, Janet Cormier, 2008 Last Comic Standing’s Esther Ku, Friar’s Club Celebrity Roast’s Susan Alexander and Comic’s Unleashed & Comic View’s Alycia Cooper, and up and comers Shereen, and Asie Mohtarez.

Past performers include: Karith Foster (Imus in the Morning, Comedy Central, VH1), Leigh Ann Lord (The Original HBO Def Comedy All Star Jam, winner of ABC's The View "Hilarious Housewives, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Comics Unleashed), Roz Browne (Comic View, The View, America's Funniest People)

Anointed by The Boston Globe as “Frank, Funny, and Fabulous,” you can catch the women of ColorStruck working the stage Fridday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3 at 7:30 pm.  Tommy's Comedy Lounge is located at The Charles Playhouse, 74 Warrenton Street.  Tickets available in person at Tommy’s box office, or online at Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1 800 745-3000.
