Zach Broussard and Mike Scollins: What do you think of when you hear those names?
I know I think of Vacation Bible School - a comedy variety show that takes place at The Creek in Long Island City on the second Thursday of every month at 8pm.
The show is hosted by Zach Broussard and Mike Scollins. Their picture is featured in the top righthand corner of this article.
The show, as briefly noted already, features a variety of comedic acts including improv, stand up, and sketch acts. Broussard and Scollins host the show and act as two best friends from Space Camp (and, according to Broussard, dress the same in matching Polo sweaters). The show's been running strong since November of 2008.
Here are two bullet points highlighting two great aspects of the show:
- It is completely FREE
- It is in Long Island City - a hip, new area
The July 9th show will feature stand up comedy by Ross Hyzer, sketch comedy by Classerum & Welch, improv from Pony Party and Super Duper, and comedy from the two hosts - Broussard and Scollins.
