Late And Dirty With Murderfist

Murderfist (left) and Pangea 3000 (right).

On the last Friday of every month, the sketch comedy group Murderfist performs brand new material at The Peoples Improv Theater ("The PIT", acronymically speaking), located at 154 W. 29th Street.

Just as a drinking a cold glass of lemonade is refreshing during the hot summer months, watching Murderfist is refreshing in the sometimes trite, hackneyed, and stale comedic climate of New York City.  And yes, I used Dictionary.com to find "trite" and its ensuing synonyms.

Also performing on the show will be one of New York's hottest and funniest sketch comedy quartets, Pangea 3000

Arthur Meyer, a member of Pangea 3000 and Cubs baseball fan, said this about Friday's show: "People who come to the show can expect to laugh harder than they have ever laughed in their entire lives."

Bold words from a bold man.

Both Murderfist and Pangea 3000 were nominated for Best Sketch Comedy Group at the prestigious 2008 ECNY Awards.  I, John Haskell, highly recommend you check this show out.  I give it a 4.5-out-of-5 croaks on my newly minted Funky Frog Scale for Comedy.

Friday's show begins at 11:00 p.m. and tickets cost $10.  You can reserve your tickets by clicking here.
