Saturday Night Live asks, 'What is 'Burn Notice''? (with hilarious video)

Holy crap, it IS a real show.  Woulda thought?

"Burn Notice" is a show that airs on Showtime.  Or USA.  Or maybe TNT.  I don't know, you don't know, no one knows.  Though the show's been on for years, it's relative lack of fame and fortune has turned it into a bit of a punchline for snarky internet journalists and SNL writers.  Don't believe me?  Check out this sketch from last week's SNL where everyone's lack of awareness for "Burn Notice" becomes the greatest game show of all time, my gentle Examiner readers...

There's sure to be a few "Burn Notice" fans out there with their panties in a wad over this sketch, but I'd urge those people to remain calm.  Perhaps it's better that no one watches the show you love, that way it can be more special to you.  Or something.  I dunno, just watch the funny video, people:

I was amazed to learn that "Burn Notice" is not, in fact, about sunglasses.  I thought that was obvious from the commercials I may or may not have ever seen for the show.  I have learned, however, that the show airs on USA, so there's that.  Oh, and I know that Bruce Campbell's on it (that's always a plus, but not necessarily a reason for me to tune into the show).  Also, my buddy David likes it.  But then again, he thought "Hellboy 2" sucked, so what does he know? Maybe the people watching "Burn Notice" are the same ones who kept "According to Jim", "Mad TV", and "Las Vegas" on the air?  Come on, folks, fess up.

This skit was funny. Only because it was a proven laugh getter from Aziz Ansari's stand up act.
