Newest 'Shelock Holmes' trailer is even better than the first! (with video greatness)

Robert Downey Jr. stars as "Sherlock Holmes", and we've got the new trailer to prove it!

December brings "Sherlock Holmes" to theaters, and the Robert Downey Jr./Jude Law flick looks awesome.  The action/comedy is being directed by Guy Ritchie ("Snatch") and opens on Christmas.  From the looks of this brand-new trailer, we all get one extra present to open this year.  Read on for the video, my gentle Examiner readers...

"Sherlock Holmes" seems like a perfect fit for the talents of Comedy Examiner's Office favorite Robert Downey, Jr. (if you haven't already seen "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang", do yourself a favor and go rent that movie tonight), and this new trailer for the film is even more kick-ass than the first.  Here, check it out:

Yeah, we'll be seeing (and reviewing) this when it comes out.  There aren't many comedies planned for the month of December, but this one (which, to be fair, looks to be equal parts action and comedy) may make up for that lack of ha-ha come Christmastime.  Be sure to keep your eye on your local theater's movie times starting in a month or so for showtimes and ticket sales: "Sherlock Holmes" is sure to be a popular flick (if it can wrestle away some of "Avatar"s audience).

While you're here, check out these other recent articles from the Comedy Examiner's Office:

"Is Michael Jackson's "This Is It" already getting sequelized?  Find out here! (with video)"-- in which we dispell the rumor-- via parody-- that Michael Jackson's "This Is It" has more of "It" to share with us.

"Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will host this year's Oscars"-- in which we learn the details on the 2010 Oscars: who's hosting, when it's on, and whether or not it'll be unbearably long for the 83rd year in a row.

"Flight of The Conchords" grounded, not likely to return for a third season on HBO"-- in which we confront the terrible news that a third season of "Conchords" ain't likely to happen.

"Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman might be "Dirty Old Men"-- in which we take a look at the proposed next film for stars Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson.  Go ahead and guess what the title is.
