New 'Jackass' movie is on the way: 'Jackass 3D' (with funny video)

"Jackass" is set to return in 2010 with "Jackass 3D": prepare thyself (credit below)

"Jackass", the series begun by Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jonze for MTV, has been going strong for years: the "Jackass" crew seems unable to formally retire their positions as jackasses.  There's already been 2 "Jackass" movies (and a "Jackass 2.5", for those who can't get enough crotch-damage), and now a third's been announced: "Jackass 3D".  We expect you'll want a shower after attending this version of the franchise.  Read on for the details, my gentle Examiner readers...

Yes, "Jackass 3D" is set to appear sometime next year from Paramount, and we're already predicting that watching the film will make us all feel very dirty: the "Jackass" guys aren't afraid to employ the use of bodily fluids, massive self-damage, and full-frontal male nudity to make their point.

What's the deal?  Let's see what Cinematical has to say about this:

Cut to 2009, and the Paramount slate for 2010 in our inbox happens to list a Jackass 3-D, with a release date to be determined. Johnny Knoxville and company don't seem too busy of late, and even with the eye-popping added dimension, this sounds like a relatively cheap production to give the go-ahead to. If Wikipedia is to be believed (I know),
Bam Margera confirmed in a much more recent interview for a Finnish newspaper that filming would begin this January around the world.

Devin Faraci of Chud.com-- one of our favorite movie news sites-- is clearly excited at the prospect of a three-dimensional trip into "Jackass"-world, saying:

With the 3D process you will be in the movie. You won't just be watching Steve-O shitting in his pants, he'll be (crap)ing in your pants. You won't just be passively observing Bam Margera being a complete (jerk) to his family, you'll also be punching his big fat sleeping father. You won't just be laughing when Johnny Knoxville wipes out and breaks a bone, it will be your jaw that shatters.

Filming should begin soon, and then the 3D process will add a hefty wait-time to the whole ordeal, but we're still expecting "Jackass 3D" sometime next year.  For those unfamiliar with the series, "Jackass" features a group of n'er-do-well amateur stuntmen (kind of) who perform one disastrous stunt after another, generally with a shocking twist or comedic surprise.  Here's one of our favorite "Jackass" moments, for the uninitiated (from the first film):
