Dave Chappelle: Really needs to find a bathroom. Like, soon.
It's been awhile since we've seen Dave Chappelle, and that's a real shame: Dude's still one of the funniest comedians to arrive in the last decade. But following a surprise exit from his hit Comedy Central series, the comic has been laying low. Chappelle popped up again yesterday in Pittsburgh, though it wasn't intentional. A private jet shuttling Chappelle from New Jersey to Ohio was compelled to land when the pilot deemed Chappelle a flight risk, and the pilot maintains that Chappelle was acting out of turn during the flight. Reps for Chappelle claim that he was just having a massive bathroom emergency. Wait, what? Keep reading for the details, my gentle Examiner readers...
The pilot of the private jet that was transporting comedian Dave Chappelle from New Jersey to Ohio says that he landed the plane in Pittsburgh because Dave Chappelle was a "flight risk" to him and his crew. Representatives for Chappelle claim that he'd eaten something that didn't agree with him, and was only acting out on the flight because he really, really needed a bathroom-- stat (the one on the plane wasn't "the type he needed"). Who to believe, who to believe. Let's see if TMZ.com's report has any further details:
During the flight, we're told Dave "freaked out" and refused to put his seat belt on. Then -- according to sources -- Dave repeatedly walked into the cockpit, asking how much longer the flight would be, and started grabbing the pilot's arms. Sources say the pilot determined Chappelle was a safety risk and diverted the plane to Pittsburgh.
We're told Chappelle then checked into a nearby hotel for the night. Sources at the hotel tell us Dave has been telling hotel employees he wanted to rent a car to drive back to Ohio ... only he couldn't remember where he lived.
Chappelle was spotted wandering out of the hotel early this morning. A rep for Chappelle explains the incident to TMZ by saying Dave really needed to use the restroom -- he ate something that didn't sit well -- and the bathroom on the plane was "not the kind he needed."
So, lemme get this straight: Dave Chappelle's on a private jet, and he needs to use the bathroom so badly that he's willing to go into the cockpit and start jacking with the pilot's arms? Because the bathroom that was on the flight wasn't the kind he needed? What does that even mean? And why couldn't he "remember" where he lived while tracking down a rental car? Either something's wrong with Chappelle (read: high), or the people reporting in to TMZ are being purposefully fuzzy with their details.
It wouldn't be the first time that Chappelle's been accused of exhibiting erratic behavior. Back around the time that he walked off the set of his Comedy Central series, the comedian fled the country to South Africa, where he relaxed for a few weeks before returning to the States. Beyond a half-hearted explanation that he just kinda wanted to get away from it all, that whole situation hasn't been fully explained (and, yeah, it probably had something to do with the pressure that comes with a $50 million salary). Dave Chappelle is a moron, and that's an insult to those with limited learning capacity. People like this are out of control, expect everyone to react to their every whim with 110%, and have no respect for anyone, let alone themselves.
He should choke on his salary! I wonder how much he had donated to Haiti, or Darfur, or the plight of non African-Americans anywhere!
He should have used to bathroom and let the flight crew clean the mess. It was their responsibility to begin with. Was he on crack once again or did he smoke way too much pot?

Another arrogant, out of control, drug intoxicated waste of oxygen...who cares? I am just glad he wasn't on a commercial flight and causing dangerous inconvenience for the general public...spending a year or so in isolation in jail would go a long way toward dampening that fire in his brain.

It appears the man had an urgent issue. When your stomach is constantly egging you on to release its' content, it can contribute to extreme behavior. If he was a beloved white comedian, you wretches that have left hateful comments would have been far more understanding.
How did he get into the cockpit anyhow? They have no lock? Gues it's a really realllllllllllllly S.L.O.W. news day up there. Chappelle is THE BEST comediemme around. Who cares if he has to poop!!
He obviously has advanced drug issues that are not getting any better. Walking away from $50 million by ANYONES standard is not an honorable act of non-greedy proportions. It is selfish and irresponsible. He could have taken that opportunity to be an ambassador to so many needed causes and helped so many suffering people.
You are a coward Dave. A funny as hell coward; but a chump none the less. Clean your act up before you end up dead and hurting your family on top of squandering your incredible "God Given Talents" for drugs.

I disagree with the article that his Comedy Central/'South African Incident' wasn't adequately explained. He talked about it at length for 90 minutes on the Actors Studio.
He just didn't like Hollywood and said you would basically ask you to sell your soul for the money. He also said he had a price and when they asked too much from him, it was time to walk away. I can respect that. Watch it now, google "dave chappelle actors studio" and watch it on google video.
I'm going to refrain here on alot of what i'd like to say to some of you. Some of you are confusing dave with some of the character's he has created. some of which he later was not so proud of. This had more to do with the walking away from so much money that most people would have sold out thier own mothers for.I know more but out of respect for the man my mouth is shut! I have'nt spoken with dave in years but this is still kinda a personnel issue for me.I have met only a few people in my life that are as up standing or as real as dave is. if i crap my pants on a plane few people are gonna care if dave had natiional inquire hayday guess he had to make a choice. those of you who are calling dave an off the hook drug addict dont know JACK or dave.as far as just leaven the mess for the crew dave is a very respectful person and i'm sure his thoughts were no way can i do that to them. this is more than likely blown out of proportion it was probably more like just get me to a bathroom now!!
as far as not knowing where he lives. The general area of his residence is a very well known fact. the exact address is another matter. Celebs. check into hotels everyday under fake names for thier own privacy & safety. i'm sure it was a matter of yea right like i'm gonna give you my home address so you can sell that along with the b.s story the media is gonna turn this into. if by chance you read this dave sorry the world is full of petty people. but i'm sure you know this already. shakeitoff shakeitoff man. sincerly. one of your old golf buddies
