You asked, & the Comedy Examiner listened! Read all our "Twilight" highlights here!
This article's being hammered out by popular demand: we received no less than half a dozen emails requesting a "Best Of 'Twilight'" page-- similar to the "Best of The Week" column that we ran earlier in the week, and the Comedy Examiner is nothing if not compliant for his readers. Below you'll find links to all of our very best, very funniest "Twilight: New Moon" (and just plain "Twilight") parodies; there might be something here you've missed, and you don't wanna be left out of the fun, do ya? Read on for the hilarity, my fellow "Twi-Hards" and gentle Examiner readers...
Last week we ran a "Best of The Comedy Examiner" article that collected a dozen of our most popular stories all in one spot. That article was apparently quite popular, as throughout this afternoon we've received multiple emails asking that we do the same for our "Twilight" parodies and funny stories. You asked, and the Comedy Examiner listened! Read on for the highlights, Teams Jacob and Edward...
FOR TWILIGHT'S BIGGEST FANS:
"TAYLOR LAUTNER GOES FROM "NEW MOON" TO "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE"-- in which we discussed Taylor Lautner's upcoming appearance on SNL, as well as offering up one very funny "Twilight" parody from "Saturday Night Live" (from just a few weeks back) that starred Taylor Swift. We know that you've probably seen this one already, but just in case you missed it, here's what it looked like:
"FUNNY VIDEO SHOWS HOW "TWILIGHT" SHOULD HAVE ENDED (WITH VIDEO)"-- in which we looked at the funny animated version of how one very creative individual felt that "Twilight" should have ended. Having never seen "Twilight", we're not sure we get all the jokes here, but this one was one of our most popular "Twilight" articles ever, so someone out there was picking up the punchline. Click the link to check out the video if you missed it earlier this week!
"TWILIGHT: NEW MOON" SLAUGHTERS THE COMPETITION WITH A $140M OPENING!"-- in which we learned that "Twilight: New Moon" had absolutely decimated at the box office on its opening weekend. We cover the box office every Sunday here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, and generally it's to point out what comedies did well. This particular weekend, though, it was all about vampires. Click the link!
"ROBERT PATTINSON COMPLAINS ABOUT HIS LACK OF SCREEN TIME IN "NEW MOON"-- in which we looked at a very funny video from "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon", wherein the former SNL'er and current talk show host impersonated Robert Pattinson-- that sparkly hunk that all the ladies (and some gents) adore-- to complain about his lacking screen time in "New Moon". This video is hilarious, folks, dig it!
AND FOR THE TWILIGHT NON-FANS:
"TWILIGHT FANS GET AN UNEXPECTED "VAMPIRE INTERVENTION" (WITH VIDEO)"-- in our most popular article ever-- 20,000 views and counting-- we looked at one man's quest to prank an entire theater full of "Twilight" fans by tricking them into thinking they were about to see a sneak peek of "New Moon". When he revealed his dastardly plot, things got a touch awkward. If you haven't seen this amazing video, click it now! You don't want to miss it!
"SEE THE WINNER OF OUR 'FUNNIEST TWILIGHT PARODY' CONTEST RIGHT HERE!"-- we'll go ahead and embed it within this article, but you can still head on over to the link to catch our commentary on the video. Last week was filled with "Twilight" parodies being sent in from all over. This was the one that we selected as the overall best-- many people didn't agree, so see what you think-- and we stand by the decision! Although, that SNL one above is pretty damn funny...
"CONAN O'BRIEN TAKES ON "TWILIGHT: NEW MOON" WITH HILARIOUS RESULTS (WITH VIDEO)"-- in which we looked at a recent clip from Conan O'Brien's "Tonight Show", where the lanky, red-headed host dropped a big, fat deleted scene from "New Moon" in our laps unexpectedly. Is it real, or not so much? You make the call! Click the link to check out the hot werewolf-on-werewolf action, my friends!
And, finally...
"CRITICS TAKING SNARKY SHOTS AT "TWILIGHT: NEW MOON" IN THEIR REVIEWS!"-- in which we looked at a group of very sarcastic, very un-"Twi-Hard" reviews for the release of "Twilight: New Moon". We included these for those that aren't fans of the series, but have instead gathered here to poke a little fun at everyone's favorite vampire franchise. If you're no "Twilight" fan, this is the article for you!
And that's it, "Twilight" fans. We've had a great week covering some of the funnier things about 'Twilight" here at the Comedy Examiner's Office, but that doesn't mean it's over! Stay tuned to the Comedy Examiner for more hilarious "Twilight" parodies, snarky commentaries, and whatever else we can come up with to keep you entertained as the weeks go on! If you have a request, feel free to use the readers that wrote us as an example: if you want the Comedy Examiner to run something, just let us know! And, while you're here, check out these other recent articles from the Comedy Examiner's Office:
"Quentin Tarantino already writing his next film? Will it be more "Basterds"?"-- in which we learn what Quentin Tarantino's up to next, who's involved, and...well, that's about it, but just click the link, anyway. You know you want to.
"Details emerge on "Shrek Forever After", which is set to hit theaters in 3-D"-- in which we learn some interesting news about the fourth "Shrek" film, such as the fact that it's set to appear in 3-D. Bonus!
"Comedy Examiner's "Best of The Week": Did you miss one of our articles? Check out the best here!"-- in which we look at a dozen of the most-popular articles that we ran this week. If you missed out on something, here's your chance to catch up on all the shenanigans.
