(Editor’s note: this is a weekly series highlighting the more unique comedy opportunities in the Boston area. All the local comedy clubs are presenting funny stand-ups, so get out there and see them.)
Wilbur Theater
The Wilbur Theater has a double night of comedy featuring three great comedians. Jamie Kennedy (tonight, June 26) and Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal (tomorrow, June 27) are all in town for stand-up sets.
Kennedy is best known as the host of “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment” as well as movies like “Son of the Mask,” “Kickin It Old School,” “Mailbu’s Most Wanted” and is currently on the CBS show “Ghost Whisperer.” He was also responsible for the highly underrated documentary “Heckler.”
Mirman and Schaal are best known for their roles in the HBO series “Flight of the Conchords.” This is a homecoming for Mirman who is a Lexington High School and Hampshire College graduate. He even returned to his high school alma mater to deliver the commencement address this year. The two will be performing a joint show and a youtube video has surfaced where the two interview each other and talk about many random topics, including Boston.
Giggles
Lenny Clarke will be one of three comedians at Giggles Comedy Club in Saugus on Saturday. Clarke will be joined by Ken Rogerson and Johnny Pizzi. The doors open at 7 and the show starts at 8:30 p.m.
