Fans of Conan O’Brien may not have to wait until September to see him doing what he does best.
It was announced last week to the Associated Press that the Brookline MA native and his people have been discussing a possible live tour that would bring O’Brien to college campuses and theaters across the United States and possibly Europe.
It is unknown who has been talking from O’Brien’s camp as the person, who was not authorized to publicly discuss the plans, spoke on condition of anonymity. Official, O’Brien’s people have declined comment.
His separation deal from NBC prevents him from appearing on television until September 1, and there has been much talk about what the future would hold for the former “Tonight Show” host. Rumors of a possible pending deal with FOX to host a new show have been rampant.
Since announcing he would be stepping down as the host of “Tonight,” many people have been picking sides and the outpouring of support from the newly formed cult of Coco, brought O’Brien to the edge of tears during his final broadcast.
A live show would be a perfect way for O’Brien to stay in the minds of his fans while making a pretty penny.
